Chapter 23 Kim cut herself another piece of chocolate mud cake. Mel had brought it over as a bribe. ‘These babies won’t be any trouble,’ Mel mumbled, her own mouth full of cake. ‘They’re off milk feeds and eating meat now.’ Kim looked dubiously at the three little tiger quolls climbing the kitchen curtain. They looked a bit like mongooses, except for the large white spots extending right to the end of their tapering tails.
