In the East End part of the city , a a young woman of early twenties was tallying the day's transactions before closing her boutique business for the day . From her long dress , with a matching headscarf , there was no doubt that she professed the Islamic culture that was dominant in that part of the city . In fact , her neighbours and customers had given her the name Fatuma because of her modest dressing , and it had stuck . It was by sheer luck that she had recently acquired this particular business from an old couple who thought that they needed to enjoy their old age in the serene rural environment away from the city's madness .
