Dan had just arrived at the hospital and the process of her discharge was going on . He was sitting on the bed beside her when the call from June came through . Though he could not hear the voice from the other end , he guessed from the way Suzie responded .
" Was that Diana on the phone ?" He asked . She nodded . " What is she saying now ?"
" She is asking why I came back plus fresh threats and ultimatums . That I should keep away from you by running away from the city or else she would feed me to the dogs . You know what ? I think I have ran as far as I can , and I'm not going to run any further . This pushing has now turned into shoving and it is high time I started hitting back !" She added
