King Kane sat in his chambers with his wife waiting for Princess Diana to come in . It was some minutes past six , more than ten minutes since he had summoned her after hearing that she had come in . He was heavily weighed down with serious forebodings , especially after Diana had been summoned to the police station . Since coming back , his communication with Mrs. Kane , or any member of his staff , had been intermittent .
" What is taking her so long ?" He grumbled .
" She probably went to freshen up ," his wife opined . " I wonder why the impatience . Is there anything troubling you , specifically ?"
" Who is impatient now ? You can't wait to hear it ? Will this be the first time that I'm desirous of talking with her ?"
" No , but I have noted with mounting concern that you haven't
