Alex Is Gay?

Nine POV It's already day two of being an eradicator and I was loving my job. I've been added to the schedule for who to protect the alpha and when. I wish I could protect him everyday. Today was my off day, so I stayed in my room. I wasn't planning on leaving at all. I locked the door behind and roamed about with half of my chest opened. No one could actually barge in right now, right? Before I could finish my conclusion, there was a knock. It was soft. "Who is it?" I asked. "Are you in Nine?" The voice asked. Shit! It's Alex. He must have come to apologize for what he did last night. That wasn't my concern. I'm just relieved that he didn't find out I'm a girl. I thought he would blame himself for being drunk, but he didn't. The one thing I didn't understand in my past life, I've finally understood it. To make it short, Alex is gay. He has a crush on the Alpha and can't tell him because his feelings will never be accepted. Instead, he protected the Alpha. He thought I was an assassin and had to kill me to protect the alpha and at the same time, he was jealous that the alpha was always keeping me around him. I understand his feelings then. But, I don't understand his feelings now. I'm a girl, pretending to be a boy. Once he finds out he has feelings for his girl, will it change the fact that he's not gay... "Nine?" He called again. "I'm here, Beta. Do you need something?" I asked. "You don't call me Alex again?" He pouted. I couldn't see his face, but I could tell. I groaned softly and brushed my fingers into my hair. "Do you need something, Alex?" I asked again, calling his name. "I came to apologize to you. I'm sorry for... almost doing that" he said softly. Well, what happened last night? *FLASHBACK* After I dealt with two, when trying to drag me back to the assassin house. She knew she was no match for me, but she still tried her best. We were nine children in total, there were other children in the assassin house but they were given other names. Nine of us, five were girls, four were boys. I was the smartest out of all nine but five was the strongest. That's why the boss wants me back. If he gives a task, I get it done within hours and not days. However, I left two on the floor and left with Alex to receive fresh air. It was still noisy but, better than being inside. Cars were passing repeatedly. "After next week, Alpha will go back to the company" Alex said to me. I already know that in my past life. He spends two weeks in the palace getting ready for the full moon and other things the palace needs and he spends two weeks going to the company to take care of the company needs, as the CEO. "Really?" I asked, pretending not to know. "You're new, so you'll have to learn the Alpha's schedule" he said. "I'll do my best to protect him" I hit my chest. Well, it was my boobs and it hurt as hell. He smiled and chugged from the glass. The beer was just filled with foam. I'm not good with alcohol so whenever he's busy drinking, I'm pouring mine away, pretending to be drinking. "During the full moon, you'll stay at..." I quickly closed his mouth with my right hand. "You can't say the schedule outside. What if someone is listening and use the opportunity to attack him?" I asked. He looked at me. I thought he was thinking about what he said, but he wasn't. He touched my right hand and kissed it, then licked my fingers. It was so sudden that I never expected it. He used his tongue to massage my finger. It was soft, wet and warm. I didn't like it, but it felt nice. He prevented his teeth from touching fingers, careful not to hurt me. "You're so handsome, Nine" he said, removing them from his mouth. I flinched and tried to pull back my hand. He didn't let me go, his grip was so tight. He kept staring into my eyes like he was horny. His face drew closer to mine. I dropped the glass jug I was holding to block his face from mine. The jug fell and broke, but the shattering sound snapped him back to reality. It was then I knew Alex was gay. He almost kissed me, as a boy. *REALITY* I let out a sigh. If I don't reply, he's going to keep standing there. "It's fine Alex. I'm not mad at you" "Thank you. I'll see you around later" he said excitedly and left. Well, my schedule is tomorrow. It's going to be a new week tomorrow and then, it'll remain two days to the full moon. I washed myself and strolled out of the room. I wore my black uniform and tied my hair up. I reached the training ground and found somewhere to sit. There's no way I'm training with these hefty men. They'll break my small body if I even try to. I'm not strong but, I'm smart. "Hey Nine, wanna spar with me? You're the one who defeated the Beta, right?" One of them asked me. "Of course, he must be very strong" Casper came to add to the fire. Fuck! How do I explain to these people? "I only poisoned him. I didn't fight him" I tried to explain. "That means, You're smart and strong" Casper added. "Jeez!" I facepalmed myself. They laughed among themselves. They were just teasing me. I continued watching them spar. It's so boring without having anything to do. I can't spar, I can't remain in my room, so I won't look incompetent. I wish I could just stay by his side everyday. "Nine?" Damian called. "Yes, captain!" I sprung up immediately. "Follow me" he said, without adding any other information. I don't know where I'm going to. All I know is that we were heading towards Mason's office. We got there and he barged in, without knocking. What? It looked so serious. Have they figured out I'm a girl? Do they know I'm Ninah? Are they going to kill me? I have so many questions right now. "Here he is" Damian spoke. My heart was racing, but I kept a normal face. "Nine" Mason called my name. "Yes, Alpha!" I yelled. "I know you've contributed so far to my safety. Without you, my brother would have killed me with that poisoned fruit. It''s like you knew it would happen" he said. I was listening to him, but why is he speaking like he wants to send me off or fire me from his eradicator order. "I'll continue to protect you, alpha" I spoke. He exchanged glances with Damian. Alex just stood there, staring at me but I pretended as if I didn't see him. "How smart are you in politics?" He suddenly ask. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Huh?" I asked. "Why do you look surprised? You thought I was going to fire you?" He asked and I nodded, shyly. Mason laughed. "Well. Among my other eradicators, they are just strong without brains. But, I noticed you have the brain and skill. This work is too much for me as an alpha, so I'll need your help Nine" he said. Does that mean I'll have to see him everyday? Staying close to him everyday. I love it! "I'll accept anything you give to me, Alpha" I curtsied like a man, bowing and placing my right hand on my chest. "You'll be my assistant, starting tomorrow" I smiled broadly. "It's my honour, Alpha" I said before standing up straight. Damian signalled me and we left his office. We started walking back to our quarters. "You'll be tasked with two things. When working with him, you'll also try to protect him. Work hard. Since you'll be working for him, you don't need to come to the training ground. I'm still your captain but you'll follow orders from the alpha, your boss" "Understood captain!" I hit my chest again. He pat my shoulder and left. For some reason, everything is happening to how I want it. I'll be close to the Alpha and I'll protect him. Some maids walked pass me, staring at me. I just smiled at them and they squealed happily. Oh, they see me as one fine man. "He's so handsome" "I wish he could touch me" They gossiped among themselves. I was not ready to deal with them, I have something else on my mind. By this time in my next life, there's going to be a war. The Alpha is going to leave and come back after some months. He was injured. He wasn't hurt in the war, but he was attacked on his way back home. Thanks to Mason and unfortunately, we lost the war. This time, I'll make sure we win the war and prevent Mason from getting hurt by Gomez or even prevent the war from happening. Thinking about Gomez, he's still looking for Ninah. "Let me go! I didn't come alone" I heard a familiar voice. When I turned, I saw some of the eradicators trying to stop Leah from heading to Mason's office. One of them already left to tell him about Leah's presence. If she keeps acting this way, Mason will never mate with her. I should help her. "Hello, miss Leah" I greeted. I'm helping her for myself, not for her. Everything in Mason's life must be perfect, including his mate.
