As the break comes to an end, I make my way to the gym, where my next class takes place. Henry is by my side, so I do not feel as lost as in the first two hours.
Arriving at the hall, however, we interrupt our conversation and fall silent. However, our teacher does not seem to be there yet, which is why we can not enter yet. Fortunately, it's warm, which makes the wait bearable. If it was raining or storming, I would probably think differently about this situation.
"Look," he gently pushes me in the side to get my attention. I look at him questioningly, but follow his gaze as he nods in a certain direction.
There I see the boy, to which Henry has already alerted me during the break. I ask my best friend questioningly: "What exactly am I supposed to look at now?"
"He fished himself right on the first day," Henry rolls his eyes contemptuously. I raise an eyebrow. Why is he so interested in it? "Would you like to, too?" I jibe slightly, but smile amused. "No, forget it", he tries to defend myself against my accusation, but from this situation I will not release him without further notice.
"Then why do you care what others do?", I lean against the wall of the building and can not help but watch the guy out of the corner of my eye. He has his arm around the waist of a lightly clothed girl and is really adored by her. At the sight, I wonder how you, as a girl, can make some kind of guy you do not know right on the first day. Although it may be that both have been at school for some time and together, but I doubt that pretty much. I recognize a couple when I see it, and the two are certainly not together.
"Do not do it," when Henry answered my question, I turn back to him, "I just find it embarrassing." I roll my eyes: "Just let them do what they want."
I can not say more about that, because at this moment our sports teacher comes around the corner. He unlocks the door of the hall and lets us in. However, since none of us has sports equipment - how should we suspect that we have sports today - we leave our things only briefly in the locker rooms and then go into the hall.
There we sit in a circle and the teacher begins to tell us what will await us in his discipline this school year. After a few minutes, however, I stop listening and start to study my classmates instead. When I notice the partly thick clothes of the others, I am really glad that I decided today for a dress. The rooms of the school are really hot today.
At the thought comes to me the idea that today would be a great day for the outdoor pool. I nudge my best friend slightly and then whisper, "Will you come to the swimming pool after school?"
Although he does not turn his eyes away from our teacher, he whispers to me as inconspicuously as possible his answer: "Sure, the weather is perfect." I nod in agreement and then smile satisfied. In this weather, the municipal swimming pool is usually jam-packed and you can not go early enough if you want a good place.
"Great", I smile happily and am already thinking about our afternoon excursion.
