I spent the night making inventory on my crochet supplies, packing some new orders that were placed on my online shop and I even got to finish 2 projects that were half done. Now I just have to take photos and list them on my online shop. I guess I have 2 more things to do tomorrow:
4. Go to the post office and ship the orders.
5. List the new items on my online shop.
By dawn I was so exhausted that I fell asleep. I slept for 3 hours which is not a lot but I was glad that I was able to sleep a little.
When I woke up, I packed the orders that I had to ship, my prescription, my keys and my wallet on my rucksack, grabbed my clutches and walked out of the house. Maybe walking isn't the right term to use here. Maybe limping.
Anyway, I got out of my house and got into my car. Fortunately the sprained foot was the left one so I could still drive around. Thank God for automatic cars! It really is the little things!
My first stop was the post office and next I went grocery shopping. Oh this was a fun one! Because I'm in clutches I can't take a shopping cart with me, so I had to take my rucksack. When I entered the store I went to security to explain my situation and tell them that I would be using my rucksack to carry my groceries around. I didn't want them to think that I was robbing the place. Thankfully all went all but it was very tiring because every time I needed to grab something and save it the rucksack I had to stop, put the rucksack on the floor, grab the item and put it into the sack, grab the sack again, put it in my back and them clutch my way to the next item I needed. Fun stuff!
When I finished all my shopping it was lunch time, so I drove to Sunshine diner to grab a bite.
As soon as I enter the dinner, I hear Rhonda practically shouting "OMG GIRL! What the hell happened to you? You have only been here for two days!" I go to the counter, sit in one of the stools and put the clutches against the counter next to me.
"Well I guess it is what you get when instead of paying attention to the road you start drooling over a shirtless guy…"
"At least now I know why I had to take you out of a ditch." A masculine voice says dryly, behind me.
I freeze.
I start to blush uncontrollably.
I turn around on my stool and there is Jack. His face was plain. I couldn't tell what he was thinking at all. And in that moment I decided that the best defense is a good offense.
"You took me out because you wanted to! I did not ask you to do that!" I blurt out.
"What was I supposed to do? Leave you there so that a car could run you over?" He shoots at me.
"I was in a ditch! No car was gonna run me over there! But that is besides the point."
By now everyone in the diner is looking at us.
"What is the point then?" He asks.
"The point is that you should have asked before grabbing me and taking me to your front yard" right now he is ready to cut me off but I don't let him and continue "and also when someone is injured the right thing to do is at least offer them a glass of water and when someone thanks you for your help the least you could do is answer politely instead of Humm. What kind of answer is Humm??"
Now he looks p****d. He opens his mouth to speak. But then closes it like he is deciding against talking back. He then turns around and leaves the diner.
After he leaves, I look around and see that everyone that was listening in on our conversation is now pretending to be busy doing something else.
"So I'm guessing that you saw Jack shirtless, got distracted and ended up falling in the ditch by the road?" Rhonda asks.
"Yeah, something like that," I replied slowly. Suddenly I feel like I went a little overboard with the way I spoke to Jack.
"Do you want something to eat?" Rhonda asks again.
"Yes please." I answer.
