Falling for Jack

The day has finally arrived. I'm moving today. A new town, a new start. Just what I need. "Why?" You must be asking. Well, for starters I found out that my boyfriend has been cheating on me for the past year with one of my closest friends and then my other "friends' ' sided with them instead of me. I mean, I'm the one who has been cheated!... with friends like this who needs enemies, am I right??! I was just so sick of phony people that I just had to get away. Fortunately work was not a problem. I can work anywhere. I run a small online shop that sells crochet items that I do myself; small things like baby clothes or amigurumis and I also do online tutorials on how to crochet stuff. As long as I have postal service, I'm good. Also, when the sales are low I usually take a part-time job so that my income doesn't suffer that much. I'm sure that if I need to do that again I'll be able to find some sort of job wherever I am. With one less thing to worry about, I chose to move to the small town where my mother grew up. When I was little she used to take me there on vacation and I always liked it there. My mother does not understand my need to get away, she says that I could simply stop talking to those people, ignore them, but I don't want to risk, for instance, being at the supermarket and having some sort of encounter with the ones who shall not be named! As she still has friends over there, it was easy to find a small place to rent and because I don't have that much stuff all of my things fit in my car. At 7 a.m. my car is packed and I'm ready to go! I have my snacks, my water and my sunglasses. I turn the radio on and the music "life is a highway" by Tom Cochrane starts playing. Let 's go!
