Chapter 7

491 Words
I freeze and the only thing I can think about is that I'm being carried away by the tallest, most gorgeous and handsome man that I have ever met. For a few moments I lose myself in the way his arms feel around me… his strong muscular arms… and I can feel that he has big strong hands as well… God! All that wood cutting has done him really good. I'm so in the zone that I let out a small moan. Oh my God!!! What did I just do?? I immediately cough trying to disguise what I just did and finally I can bring myself back to reality. "Humm… where are you taking me?" "To my cottage." He answered curtly. "Yes!" I think instantly. What? No! Get a grip! Stop thinking how good looking and strong he is! And how he is so tall and… No! Stop! STOP! I take a deep breath to try and calm myself and ask him "Why?" "I don't have my phone with me." "OK, but why are you taking me?" "Would you rather be in a ditch by the road? Because that can be arranged." "No…" "I guessed not." Ahhhhh!!! Cocky bastard! The way he arrogantly answers me makes me want to punch him in the face! Following that we both shut up and an awkward silence ensues between us. After what it looked like hours, we finally arrived at his cottage. It was a two story house, really rustic looking, with a small front porch, brick walls and a black roof. There was some creeper ivy along the right side wall of the house. On the left side of the porch there was a swing, on the right side there was a bench and there were also some vases with flowers scattered around. From what I could tell, there were red and yellow tulips, white daffodils and some pink and purple hyacinths. What a lovely porch! It doesn't look like a men's porch. Maybe he is married? I'm pushed away from my thoughts as I feel my bottom colliding with a hard surface. Jack had sat me down on a trunk. "Wait here. I'm going to call 911." He quickly enters his house not even giving me enough time to answer him. While I'm waiting I notice a giant oak tree that provides a lot of shade. It looks like a perfect spot for a picnic. Now that I have cooled off a little bit my ankle starts to really hurt. I just hope that it isn't broken. A few minutes pass and Jack walks back out and says "They are on their way. They will be here shortly." "Thank you for all your help." I offer. "Humm." It 's his reply. Humm?? What kind of answer is Humm?? What about "you're welcome" or "don't mention it"? What about something polite? God! He is annoying! I have really mixed feelings about this guy!
