Chapter 26
When I arrived at the diner, I was starving. All of our intense workouts this weekend increased my appetite. We sat at a booth and soon there was a waitress handing us a menu for us to choose what we wanted to eat. I chose eggs, bacon toast and coffee with milk while Jack chose to eat a stack of pancakes drowned in syrup. We were eating and chatting when Rhonda made her way to us. "So are you two a thing now?" She asked. I felt my cheeks burning. I honestly didn't know what we were. Are we girlfriend and boyfriend? Are we just f*** buddies? Or are we just dating to see how it goes? I was going to look at Jack hoping that he would answer the question but he was already starting to speak "She is my girlfriend now." I kept my cool.
