When we got back to Mactan, Beatrix and Babaylan Dalisay were waiting for us at the gates, along with Crispin and Basilio. They were all delighted to see that Marius had the kampilan in hand, but the twins looked horrified when they saw the black blood all over the kampilan's blade. Crispin was the first to approach Marius and ask, "What the hell happened to Apolaki's kampilan? Why is it all bloody?" "Who is Apolaki?" asked Marius. "Well, I needed it back at the cave. Without it, Altair and I would've perished already. So I guess I have this Apolaki to thank for the weapon, huh?" Then, he looked around and spread his arms out. "Where is this Apolaki you are talking about? I wish to meet him." For some reason, all of those who heard Marius looked at him with contempt, including Crispin
