NATASHA’S POV
After I spoke to Adrian and he told me he was coming, I was like a teenage girl waiting to go on her first date. I felt as if I was falling in love with him all over again, even my mother could see it on my face and she didn’t even bother to ask me why I was so happy. I quickly jumped into the shower to freshen up and then put on my favorite dress. I was aware that we were not going on a date but I wasn’t going to let a small detail like that get in the way of me making sure that Adrian knew that I put the effort into my appearance just for him.
”I guess you are not coming back,” my mother said as I sat in the living room waiting for Adrian to tell me that he was finally there.
