The humans and the werewolves have been enemies for a long time but had never dear to wage war with each other, until one day, there was a famine in the lands of the wolves, To feed their families they sneaked into the territory of the humans and settled there to hunt. The human King was enraged when he found out and ordered the werewolves to leave at once, but Author the Alpha's brother driven with greed attacked the humans by surprise to claim their territory • • • • • • • Lucian P.O.V Under the perfect full moon, I was in the courtyard with my Dad practicing magic, while my Mom was watching from the sides “Focus Lucian” Dad yelled, as I struggled to control my magical energy. I was just four but my Dad insisted that I should start practicing magic, I stood on my ground with my legs wide. “Always remember, magic is all about control, now focus on releasing your magical energy”. Suddenly my whole body was envelope by Golden light, I immediately concentrate all my energy on my palm and threw a punch in a slit of seconds towards the garden gust of flames flew out burning half of the flowers. My father's eyes widened in shock as the flames burst forth from my punch. "Incredible!" he exclaimed. "Lucian, you have an innate talent for fire magic. I've never seen a child your age display such raw power." My mother rushed over, her face a mix of pride and concern. "Is everyone alright? Lucian, darling, are you hurt?" I shook my head, still amazed at what I had just done. "I'm okay, Mother. I didn't mean to make such a big fire." Father placed a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, son. This is a wonderful discovery. With proper training, you could become a truly formidable mage." Suddenly a huge fire ball struck one of the castle towers crushing it to dust, I immediately hugged my mom tightly due to fear. “We are under attack” the watch man alerted. “What’s going on Dad?” I asked still in my mother's tight arms. “clara take Lucian away from the city, we are under attack” he said, his voice filled with authority. “But...” “We don't have much time left” he said leaving no room for argument, suddenly I heard the howling of wolves getting closer, Mom immediately took me by the arms as we left the castle through the Eastern gate. “Mom what's going on where is Dad” I asked worried and also scared suddenly I heard a howl behind us a looked back and saw a hug silhouette of a wolf with red eyes. I let out a scream “ Don't look back!” Mom said, as we rushed into the forest. Suddenly a huge explosion rang out from behind us and the trees started collapsing and a huge flame engulfed the forest. Mom stumbled on a tree and fell down “Mommy! ” I yelled, I looked behind her and saw the wolf catching up with us “ Mom we have to go" I said “ I can’t, you have to go alone " she said “ to uncle Fred, tell him that the wolves attacked us ” I nodded, tears streaming down my face as I looked at my mother's injured leg. " I'll go, Mommy, I promise! " I exclaimed, trying to sound brave. With a final glance at my mother, I took off running through the forest, the wolf's howls and the sound of crashing trees closing in behind me. I pumped my small legs as fast as I could, my heart racing with fear. As I ran, the forest grew denser, and the trees seemed to close in around me. I stumbled over roots and fallen branches, but I didn't dare look back. I could hear the wolf's labored breathing and the pounding of its paws on the ground, getting closer and closer. It jumped in front of me I let out a terrified scream as the massive wolf blocked my path. Its red eyes glared down at me, saliva dripping from its bared fangs. I was frozen in fear, unable to move. Suddenly, my mother emerged from the trees, her face twisted in determination. " Leave my son alone, you beast! " she yelled, and with a swift motion, she conjured a fiery barrier between me and the wolf. The wolf howled in pain as the flames licked at its fur, and it retreated a few steps. Taking advantage of the distraction, my mother grabbed my hand and pulled me close. " Lucian, you must keep running. Find your uncle and tell him what happened. I'll hold off the wolf as long as I can. " " But, Mother, I can't leave you! " I cried, clutching her tightly. She cupped my face in her hands, her eyes shining with unshed tears. " You must, my dear. This is the only way. I love you with all my heart. Now go! " Before I could protest further, she gave me a gentle push and I found myself running again, my legs pumping as fast as they could. I could hear the continued roars and crackle of flames behind me, spurring me on. I turned back and saw my Mother fighting furiously with three wolves, the last thing I saw before turning back was one of the wolves brutally hurting her. “ Mom! ” I yelled, that was all I could do at this moment for I was helpless, suddenly I heard a growl, before me was a huge black wolf with red glowing eyes. I stood on my ground, this time I wasn't scared, I slowly channelled all my energy my, the wolf growl it seems to know what I was about to do. I immediately threw a punch before it could strike, a huge flame shot out of my palm gravely injuring him. He let out a painful howl, I tried throwing another punch but the wolf seem to sense what I was about to struck me with his claws, raking down my arm and leaving a deep, bloody gash. I cried out in pain, stumbling as I tried to keep running. The wolf seemed to sense my weakening, letting out a triumphant howl as it closed in. Suddenly, a blinding flash of light erupted nearby, and the wolf recoiled, howling in agony. A sturdy figure emerged from the trees, his hands glowing with magical energy."Uncle Fred!" I gasped, relief flooding through me. My Uncle wasted no time, unleashing a barrage of fiery spells that forced the wolf backward, but despite the pain it still attacked, Uncle ducked and delivered another barrage of fire. Suddenly another wolf jumped on him and pinned him on the floor, and attacked him brutally. Suddenly Uncle body glowed and he released and outburst of magical energy killing it in one blow. As the remaining werewolf fled back into the darkness, my Uncle rushed to my side, his brow furrowed with concern."Lucian, what happened" he asked, his voice tight with worry. He examined the deep wound on my arm, his expression growing more alarmed by the seconds. “We were attacked by some wolves and Mom is in danger” without any more words he took me in his arms and we hurried to where I left Mom. “Mom!” I yelled hoping to see her save and sound, but we found her beside some werewolves corpse. I rushed to her side in tear “Mom?" I called "Lucain...” she said weakly and gentle caress my cheek with her hands before breathing her last breathe. “Mom!” I yelled, My uncle then trapped me in his warm embrace “Mom... she's gone" I sob. “ It's going to be alright uncle is always here for you" And that was how I lost my Mom and my little tribe to some vicious creatures, and I wished to be stronger and to end any werewolf that crossed my path
