CHAPTER FIVE

The wedding hall was in a beautiful old villa, with marble floors and a large fireplace. The walls painted with frescoes, depicting scenes of love and romance. The guests were dressed in stylish Italian fashion. Some of them were chatting and laughing, while others admired the decor. Aurora was fully dressed in her wedding gown ready to walk down the aisle. * *. *. "Harder baby" "Yes!" Alessandro kept pounding, maintaining a steady pace. "Don't stop Alessandro!" The lady under screamed unable to contain her satisfaction. She walks away from the dressing table she was bent over just a second ago. "You should dress up if you don't want to be late to your own wedding. We don't need stupid Aurora standing at the altar alone". Alessandro drags the lady back to the position she was formerly in. "Don't ruin my mood by calling her name. She can wait for enternity for all I care. Now the only word that should leave that lips of your is my name, I want to hear you scream my name". Aurora looked at her reflection in the mirror one more time, she was nervous but it was too late to back out now. She believed that her friend's sacrifice would be in vain and Alessandro's mother would be disappointed in her, having put so much faith and trust in her. "Aurora don't overthink it. You love Alessandro right? He might not love you now, but he likes you, at least that counts for something." With intense concentration , Aurora spoke to herself. She hears the sound of someone entering the room, and it turns out to be Laurel. "You look incredibly beautiful Aurora. You would make a beautiful bride and daughter in-law. The car is ready, we don't want you to be late to church now do we?". The limousine parked in front of the venue, the guests sat waiting impatiently for the groom and bride. "What?" "What is keeping him, go to him now". Laurel hung up the phone in anger. The phone call made Aurora feel even more nervous. Laurel sensed it and held her hand immediately. "Everything is fine, he is probably as nervous as you are." Aurora smiled, the words brought relief to her racing heart. At least she was not the only one feeling this way. Her nervousness turned into excitement immediately. Five minutes later, another car parks in front, and Alessandro comes out, walking into the venue. Aurora bows her head in shyness just from the little glance of Alessandro she saw. The ceremony began, the priest spoke in Italian, and the guests listened intently. Aurora walked in on cue. The groom was already standing in the front of the hall. The hall was filled with anticipation, then the wedding jingle began to play. The bride walked down the aisle on Alessandro father's arm. The guests rose to their feet, and everyone turned to watch the bride as she made her way to the altar. As the bride and groom stood at the altar, the priest proceeded to the exchange of vows. The couple exchanged vows, promising to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. Then, they exchanged rings, sealing their commitment to each other. After the ceremony, the guests cheered and clapped. "You may kiss your bride". Aurora briefly looked into Alessandro eyes, but something else caught her attention, the lipstick stain faintly on his cheek, and a bold one on the neck. She fixed her eyes on the mark, trying to formulate an explanation for it in her head. Alessandro noticed her eyes and whispered "One of the guests wished me well staining me by mistake". Aurora nod her head in acknowledgement. The couple kissed as instructed by the priest. It was an awkward quick peck, before walking down from the altar. The reception followed immediately, the guests were led to a large dining room, where they found their seats at the tables. The first course was served - a delicious soup, followed by a salad. Then, the main course arrives - a mouth-watering roast with all the trimmings. The guests chatted and gossippedqa during the meal, judging Aurora and her poor background. Aurora sat in the middle being the celebrant, which gave her a clear view of all the killer glances being thrown at her. She noticed how everyone praised Alessandro, and looked at her like a gold-digger, hell she could have sworn that even the maids and workers treated her like she was nothing, remembering how she wanted a drink and signalled for it, and it still had not arrived, or how one stepped on her gown, and asked her to "watch it" without even apologizing. She was already sick of the party, and couldn't be more happier when Alessandro tells her they are leaving. Aurora rushed to the car, and could finally breathe well when she got to the villa, the planned location for their honeymoon, after Alessandro refused to leave the country. Alessandro took her to her room and excused himself to take a phonecall. "Are you really going to spend the night with her? Do you even still love me Alessandro, or your wife has taken my position?" Alessandro hissed, irritated. "Do you want me to leave here to come meet you right now Britney? How can you compare yourself to that lowlife. You remember I married her for a reason. Our fathers have been enemies for decades, so it's technically impossible for us to openly get married. The plan is to have a wife so I can be Don, and when I'm king, you would be my queen. I would merge the italian mafia with the American Mafia, then not even our fathers can stop us from being together. Reassured, Britney smiled in excitement. "Alessandro just the thought of is turning me on, come here quickly let me show you what it feels like to be a king".
