As I lay here in bed, I can feel the cool night air blowing against my skin from the open window and it feels quite refreshing. Five days have passed since I was brought to this place, and I have a deep sense of hopelessness that I may never leave. The gentle breeze blowing against me is the only thing that reminds me of what I experienced for a week.

A week in my parents’ house was wonderful and I would give anything to go back home, but sadly I can’t. Levi made sure of it when he handed me over to him.
Although Diego has been kind this far, I know what is around the corner. One step out of line and he will fulfill the promise to end Kendric’s life all because of me. The look on his face the other night showed me all I needed to see. He will do it and not think twice.
