The Legend of the Koi Josh and Detective Sidd were at the offices of Carter & Associates, reviewing the cabinets of evidence still to be paged through and analysed. Josh was busy with email correspondence that had been deleted from Wikus Louw’s computer, but which the IT technicians had been able to restore from the footprints of the files left behind. When dealing with electronic footprints, nothing was ever deleted forever; there would always be a trace. A chain of emails caught Josh’s attention, perhaps because of the name, at first, and then the context. The emails were from a Mr Simon Chen from China, the assistant of Mr Fei Hung, a Chinese business tycoon worth billions.
