Christmas
Christmas Eve dinner could be smelt from Josh and Gabby’s new kitchen. The spinach and feta stuffed duck had just been taken out of the oven as Josh’s parents arrived. Josh and Gabby’s bags were packed and ready by the front door. The plan was to open presents with the family that night, and take a slow drive down to the beach on Christmas morning, while the roads were quiet.
Everyone was in a great mood. Christmas music was playing, compliments of Michael Bublé, through the stereo. Josh’s mother was sitting on the lounge carpet talking to Daniel as he showed her his new toys that Santa Claus had given him.
