Josh and Detective Sidd left the conference room to find Gabby, Daniel, and Detective Sidd’s wife and daughter by the pool.
Gabby raised her head from watching Daniel swimming and saw Josh walking over.
“Hey you,” she said.
“Hey you back,” said Josh.
“Josh, let me introduce you to my wife, Karen, and that’s my daughter, Maddy.”
“Nice to meet you, Josh,” Karen said. “So you are the person keeping my husband away from home late at night. I’m glad you don’t have longer blonde hair,” she joked.
Josh chuckled and Detective Sidd just waved it off. “Nice to meet you, Karen. Mark has told me all about you.”
Detective Sidd sat down next to his wife and kissed her gently. She placed her arm around him and rested her head on his shoulder. Josh watched them with each other
