Alikah is not your typical teen, she has one best friend and never took a liking to boys like the normal girls her age. Besides her best friend she has no other friends, mainly because girls her age group were mainly focused on having a new boyfriend each week and she did not share that interest. The group at school tried to pressure her into getting with a boy. Alikah lives with her Mother Jenny, Step-Father Michael. Her older brother Devon And older sister Aaliya and her two kids 1 year old Morgan and 6 year old Malcom in a 2 bedroom house which her brother started to renovate  and extend to make it more comfortable for all of them. She didnt have the best of life growing up her dad left when she was a baby and never looked back, he never asked how she was doing or even called but she couldn't care less, her step-father raised her and never once made her feel like she isn't his own child. He spoiled her rotten but her mother always seemed to hold back. Her mother is very strict and never allowed her to play outside with friends and thats probably why she has a fear of too many people around her. A year ago her biological father tried to get in contact with her but she brushed him off and told him she doesn't need him. He wasn't there when she needed him amd she most definitely doesn't need him now. He kept calling and she kept dodging, and  everytime he would call her mother woyld get upset with her telling her to tell him to stop calling her home. Her mother threatened to hit her whenever he would call and ask to speak to her. Alikah was stressed out and would try to hirt herself with the hopes that the physical pain could make the emotional pain go away, she would cut her wrists, stick needles in her legs everytime her mother went off at her.  Alikah just entered the school when the bell rang for first period. She rushed to her first class and just took a seat right at the back when the teacher entered the class. Mrs swartz had a huge smile plastered on her face and said "Good day class gues what day it is" Alikah cringed in her seat because she knew that enthusiastic tone way too well. It was oral day and Alikah hate doing oral, she has a fear of speaking in front of an audience. Every time Mrs Swartz called a name she would make herself small in her seat to avoid being called to the front but eventually it seemed like Mrs Swartz had noticed her hiding and called out her name. She hastily got her papers together and in the process knocked everything of her desk, the class erupted in a fit of laughter and she swore she heard someone say "vertraag" she cringed. "Alikah i am waiting" Mrs Swartz said in an agitated tone and Alikah quickly grabbed sher papers and rushed to the front while trying to get her papers in the correct order. She started talking and someone threw a paper at her, she looked to Mrs Swartz but it seemed Mrs Swartz didnt noticed so she continued stuttering through her subject. The bell rang signalling the end of the period and she blew out a breath of relieve when Mrs Swartz said they will continue on Monday, Alikah rushed towards her seat to put her things away so she could go to her next class. Someone bumped into her knocking her to the ground and she struggled to get up between all the students running to get out of the class u till someone grabbed her hand and pulled her up. She looked up in a familiar pair of blue eyes, whom she detested. She tried to pull her hand free but hos grip on her wrist was too strong. He pulled her hard agains his chest making her instantly go into a panic. He let go of her wrist to pull his arms around her and she took the opportunity to push him away. She ran to her desk and just stuffed everything into her bag, taking off to her next class. Thank God he isnt in that class with her.  The rest of the day passed without any incidents and the moment the bell rang signalling the end of the school day she grabbed her backpack and took off running towards the exit and just kept running till she reached home. At home she ran straight to her room while yelling "Mom i'm home" She threw her bag on her bed and went to the bathroom to wash the sweat off her body. When she finished her bath she threw on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a pair of sneakers then headed for the door only to fi d her mother talking with a lady who lives in their street. "Aunty Trudy's dog just had pups do you want one? They need to rehome all the pups as soon as possible" Alikah's mom, Jenny said to her. Alikah's face lit up she loves puppies and immediately screamed "yes" She and her mother followed Trudy to her house to have a look at the pups, Alikah locked eyes with the most beautiful dark brown puppy and she instantly fell inlove. She walked towards the beauty when her mom grabbed the puppy and said "im taking this one" Alikah said "but Mom i want that one" her mom just grabbed the next puppy, handed it to her amd said you can take this one, lets go" Alikah's heart dropped and she just took the pup and went home. At home they prepared beds for the pups, gave them food and water then bathed them. Alikah took out the hairdryer and blowdryed them then she put them to bed and walked over to her best friend Abby's house to talk.
