CHAPTER FOURTEEN
“I’ve done all I can do from my end. So long as the volcano doesn’t decide to erupt tonight, I’m calling it a day.” Jane sounded as if she were ready to pass out where she stood.
“What if it does?” Dax asked.
“The data we analyzed today looks good.” She pulled her hair up into a ponytail and stuck a pencil behind her hear. “We’ve got plenty of active vents releasing pressure and active tubes draining into the sea.” She took hold of a stack of printed papers and walked them over to a desk, setting them on an empty try. “The night analyst team can double check my findings, but I’m confident.”
“Do not fall for hubris. If Mother Nature wants to release, she will. Findings or not, you should be thinking about leaving the island,” Dax hoped he put enough emphasis in his tone
