CHAPTER SEVENTEEN Although he was unsure he could have any mitigating effect on the impending eruption, Dax had to at least try. He shifted, welcoming his scales and massive wings as they rose to the surface and his body increased in size. His sharp claws scratched deep into the ground as he finished transforming and became a Drake once more.
