Graduation
Finally, the day has come for me to finally graduate high school. My friend Emily had come over that morning to get ready with me before we headed out to school. “Todays the day. Are you excited?” Asked Emily. “So excited” I replied. “I have waited forever for this day”. I put on my white T-shirt’s dress with my white wedges. Emily did my hair up in sleek updo. We we’re almost done getting ready when we heard a strange truck coming from outside. We went to the balcony window and noticed a moving truck pulling into the house next door. “We’re you aware you were getting a new neighbor” Emily had asked me. “No” I replied. We watched to see who would step out of the truck, and then I saw him.
“Emily, Talia! Let’s go, or we’re going to be late” my mom called from downstairs. Emily turned away from the window and dragged me along with her. We grabbed our graduation gowns and headed for my mom’s SUV and headed out. After the ceremony, my mom wanted lots of pictures with me and my friends with our diplomas. We headed home and I was surprised with a party already raging in my backyard. “Congratulations little sister” my older brother, Caleb called out to me. “Thank you” as I hugged him. Caleb then called someone over to us. “Talia, this is Tanner. He just moved in next door and will be attending college with me”. I turned to the hottest guy I had ever met in my life. “Nice to meet you” I said. He was at least 6”2, green eyes and light brown hair. He took my hand and said “you too”, and headed back to the party.
The night raged on and I was having the time of my life. I danced with my friends, talked to all my family members that came. My mom kept trying to embarrass me by telling everyone how proud she was. I was asked what my next steps were and I simply said “I’m attending the nearby college”. I didn’t realize that I had been looking for Tanner when I noticed that he was no where to be found. “Hmm he must have went home” I said to myself. The night finally came to an end and everyone went home but some of my friends stayed over. The next morning, I was the first one up(as usual). I decided to make some coffee, and some scrambled eggs and headed outside to the porch. The balcony overlooked the pool, and the fence was low enough to where I could see the neighbors yard. That’s when I noticed Tanner outside, shirtless doing some cardio and some ab workouts. “Oh my god” I said to myself. He’s never going to notice me, I kept saying to myself. I made a small pact to myself that if by my 18th birthday(which is in a month and a half) he doesn’t notice me, then I’m moving on with my life.
Summer had officially kicked off with my friends and I lounging around the pool. “I am so glad school is over and done with”, I said while in my lounge chair. “I’m going to miss you guys when I go away” said Lydia, one of my other friends. “ we’ll always have FaceTime”, Emily replied. Tomorrow we had plans to attend a beach party. I was going to try and make this the best summer before we all started college. Today was the beach party and I was determined to look amazing. I got up, showered and got dressed in record time, only to go downstairs and run right into Tanner. He hadn’t said one word to me since my graduation party. He stopped and looked me up and down, set his coffee cup down and stormed out of the house. What a strange reaction, I thought. I texted my mom to let her know that I wasn’t home.

When I moved into this house I could sense that someone was eyeing me. I looked up and saw a couple of girls staring at me before they disappeared quickly. Later that night, my new friend Caleb invited me over to his house for a party. What he didn’t tell me was that this party was for his little sister who had just graduated from high school. “Why do would I want to come to a high school party” I had asked Caleb. “Dude just come over for a little bit and then you can bounce if you want” he replied. What I didn’t expect was to be introduced to the sexiest girl I had ever met, and that girl turned out to my be my new friends little sister.
