CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Pandemonium at the entrance delayed his exit, people were trying to get into the club and the security men were trying to keep them out. To his relief, two of the women seeking cover were Lyssa and Suzette.
Snatching Lyssa, he shoved aside the guy in his way, who whipped around, ready to fight. They made eye contact, identified each other, and that was the end. The bouncer went back to his job, leaving Colt to take Lyssa inside, Suzette too because his girl was holding her friend.
“What happened?” Ruger asked, meeting them at the internal club door.
“Someone… someone fired a g*n,” Suzette said.
