“When did Valerie leave the mansion?” I watched her eyes widen twice the size at my question, she knew something.
“I said when did Valerie leave the mansion?” I repeated. She burst into tears.
“I'm sorry, Leo. I..she was in so much pain and I couldn't bear it. You won't listen to me or anyone, so I thought I should…..”
“You should what? Let her go? You were aware of the trouble I was going through finding her, yet you have her hiding in this mansion. Why did you tell me? The least you could have done was inform me when she was about to leave, but you did!”
