Valerie's POV
I rushed into my room and locked the door behind me. I placed my hand on my chest and rested my back on the door.
“Valerie, what are you doing? Allowing him to get this close to you”, I said to myself.
I'm doing everything wrong. I shouldn't allow him to get this close to me.
I need to start work on putting a meaningful distance between us.
I laid on my bed and closed my eyes.
“This is what I consider close”, I heard his voice in my head for the umpteenth time while I was trying to nap.
“Ahhhhhh” I screamed into the pillow. I know I wasn't angry at his words I was angry at the effects they're having on me and how my body crazily react to his words.
