The Airport Collision
“This is the boarding call for passengers booked on Flight 472 to New York. Please proceed to Gate 3 immediately.
Aveline jumped to her feet and slung her black tote over her shoulder. She grabbed her blue suitcase and the wheels rattled as she dragged it behind her. She glanced at her watch for a second and bumped into a solid wall of human flesh. Gboom!
Her tote bag fell off and her personal items clattered to the floor.
“What the hell” He moved back and she looked up into the coldest, bluest and most beautiful eyes she has ever seen.
She was momentarily gobsmacked. Her mouth opened and closed several times. How can someone’s eyes be so blue, it looks like twilight waves of the ocean. The eyes also held a promise of things, pleasures unspoken.
The irises the colour of a clear blue sky after a storm, flecked with gold and shifting with every streak of light and the deepest emotions.
The eyes drew Aveline in and she was about to drown in its stormy depths. Time stood still for a split second. She quickly averted her gaze and shrugged off the reaction.
She made to bend down. The man has a sexy but dangerous aura. She is still smarting from Kevin’s betrayal.
“Please watch where you are going” She retorted. “I believe you should take your own advice”. She heard in reply. The voice was low and gravely and it belongs to cold sexy blue eyes. “What the hell.” She thought to herself.
Aveline had bent down to pick her stuff but she raised her head when she heard the reply. She had to crane her neck to see his face. “My God, this is a tall man” she thought. “But he should watch where he is going”. She refused to concede.
The man is tall; over 6 feet with muscular and sinewy body. With his piercing blue eyes and chiseled features, he is very handsome in a rugged and dangerous way.
Casually but expensively dressed in blue shirt and a black jacket. The loafers on his feet scream money. Aveline pursed her lips in distaste. The man is good looking and obviously rich with good taste. What a lethal combination.
“It is not fair.” She thought. He looks like someone that eats beautiful girls for dinner. With sensual lips that flooded Aveline’s mind with stormy thoughts.
Her boyfriend Kevin was also tall and handsome, but in a soft way. He has round cherub-like cheeks and blonde hair with golden highlights. Kevin’s idea of physical fitness is his ability to lace his shoes without catching a sweat.
He had her eating out of his hands until he took a hammer to her heart. Her heart had splintered into tiny pieces when she caught him with his co-worker at the Christmas party held in their office. The co-worker he claimed was his friend and nothing more. Friends with benefits that he did not tell Aveline.
The image of Sandra bent down with her buttocks protruding while Kevin rams in from the back flooded her vision. Her moans re-echoing in her ears. She quickly shook her head to dislodge the thoughts and the bad memories. She gets goose bumps when she remembers that horrible moment. “Not today” “Not today” she muttered to herself.
She turned her attention to her items. A shadow fell over her and she raised her head to see…Thump!!!!! Her head struck his cheek bone. Again!
‘Are you always this careless’, he growled. Aveline bared her teeth at him in frustration. She returned her attention to her items while she rubs her head.
A red head woman rushed to his side much to Aveline’s annoyance. “Hope you are not hurt mi amor.” She grasped his arm while throwing daggers at Aveline with her eyes. She moved to brush imaginary flecks of dust away from his shirt and he brushed her away. “I am fine.”
He replied behind clenched teeth. “Just watch where you are going.” He directed at Aveline. Aveline refused to give up. “Take your own advice and watch where you are going.” She threw back at him. “You bumped into me.”
The red haired gasped in indignation. “You should be careful.” Aveline turned to look at her and she smiled to herself. Her desperation for attention is written all over her but the man is paying her no attention.
He bent down to reach for her bag and Aveline brushed his hands away. Shocks that felt electric jolted her and she quickly withdrew her hands.
‘You do not have to help me; I am perfectly able to pick my items’. ‘Suit yourself’ he replied, rose to his feet and sauntered away.
She eyed his retreating back balefully and thumped her tiny fists at him. His gait is that of a self-assured man much to Aveline’s chagrin.
Sebastian looked coldly at the woman before him. He clenched his fists in annoyance at the collision.
Her honey brown locks remind him of the hay field tended by his grandfather back in California. The gold and brown colours always draw him anytime he goes visiting. Her brown iris gives her a doe eyed look that gives promises of pleasures unmatched.
The rise of bountiful breasts beneath her blouse made his breath catch. Long legged and curvaceous; a lethal combination. He tried to calm his thoughts by studying the vision before him.
Who is this golden siren, he thought to himself. He smiled ruefully at his body’s feral reaction to the vision before him. She scrunched up her face and bared her pearly white teeth at him. He almost laughed but a flash memory stopped him in his tracks.
He knows women like her, he chided himself. Acting coy and innocent when they are really vipers. Ready to strike vulnerable men. Her beauty is a distraction he thought to himself. Like he was distracted with Chloe’s beauty until she ran away with his best friend. He turned abruptly and strode away.
“Hope you are fine darling.” A middle-aged woman in flowery gown asked her. “Thank you, ma’am.” She replied picking up her lip gloss.
Clack, click, clack, click made her lift her head. Four women were about to board the flight too, from their looks, they are models. They snickered and tittered at Aveline. They had witnessed what happened with him. The tallest and most striking one among the pack was the loudest. She is obviously the leader too with the snide look on her face.
“With that hideous blouse, no one can blame you if you cannot see where you are going.” She declared to Aveline while facing her group for support. The other three guffawed.
“Who wears sunflower yellow these days” The skinniest in ridiculously high heels cackled. With her height and heels, she looks like a ladder. The third one replied. “Wannabe models”. The others burst into laughter again.
The fourth and the oldest among them narrowed her eyes and looked at Aveline’s figure calculatedly. “Not bad” She harrumphed. They assembled in a straight line like soldier ants and followed their leader into the plane.
Aveline looked at her reflection in the mirrored walls of the airport. Her yellow and white blouse fits her voluptuous figure perfectly. The colour complements her luminous skin. She has full breasts and a narrow waist. Averagely tall at 5 feet 9 inches with a face models would kill for. Her angelic features attract a lot of attention. She knew the ladies were taking a dig at her out of jealousy.
“Final boarding call to Flight 472 to New York”. She heard the sultry voice over the speaker again. She hastened to the entrance of the plane.
“Thanks mum” she muttered under her breath. Her mother had insisted that she flies to New York in the business class. She bought the tickets when Aveline argued with her. “You need to be comfortable darling” was her mother’s insistence during their conversation yesterday. What would she do without Karina Waters.
She heaved her hand luggage onto the air plane and smiled in return to the perfunctory one the air hostess offered her. “Thank you for choosing Air Dax, I hope you enjoy your flight” “Huh, I hope so too she grunted” in reply.
“Don’t touch my Christian Dior Anna” “I hope I did not forget my face toner”. She grimaced at the incessant chatter coming from the ladies she encountered earlier.
“You are on the aisle, seat 3B”. The air hostess whose name tag read Stella pointed at Aveline’s seat. She gratefully collected her ticket and moved her cumbersome hand luggage towards the seat. When she got closer, her eyes narrowed. “It can’t be” She whispered to herself in disbelief.
“What the hell.” She cursed under her breath.
He turned his head and Aveline gasped!
