Raton had tried several times to force words out of my mouth but I had still managed to keep shut. He couldn’t find out who Jules was, not now.
I managed to convince him that I hadn’t seen the owner before, and I signed the documents with other executives in the company. Their presidents had decided to stay hidden.
At first, he didn’t believe a word from my mouth, but then he felt there was no reason to hide the owner’s identity when I was the same person who told him I had signed for them.
