Valerie’s POV
“I won’t interfere with anything and I promise to stay low too.” Jule’s words lingered in my head that evening. I had listened to Raton’s advice and finally agreed to end things with Jules. I wanted to terminate the partnership once and for all.
“Please, Valerie. Don’t walk away from my partnership,” his trembling echoed in my head again.
I stood up from my office chair, paced around my office, then finally stopped at the window side, staring as the rain pelted against the glass window.
