Episode 1: The Spirit of the Field The golden morning sun stretched across the fertile fields of Ngoya village as Kofi worked tirelessly on his farm. Known throughout the village for his honesty, kindness, and hard work, Kofi believed that true wealth came from serving others rather than chasing riches. Although the land had begun to suffer from a long drought, Kofi never lost hope. He carefully inspected his maize crops, praying that the rains would soon return. As he worked, a group of cheerful children led by Ama and Kwame ran toward him, inviting him to play by the river. Smiling warmly, Kofi gently refused. He reminded them that the crops needed care and that everyone depended on the harvest for food. His words reflected the responsibility he felt for his community. Later that day, the respected village elder, Baba Abena, visited Kofi in the field. He praised the young farmer's dedication and reminded him that good character is a treasure that no amount of money can replace. As the day came to an end, whispers spread through the village about the arrival of a wealthy merchant who was expected to visit soon. No one knew why he was coming, but many believed his visit would change the future of Ngoya forever.
