After circling the pack lands for an hour without sighting any more rogues we assumed it was over. I turned to the warriors with me and we began to head to the pack house. "ColdRose we have secured the pack lands border. If you are at the safe house please remain there. I will be back soon to lead you home we have yet to secure the woods. Anybody still in the pack lands report to the pack house. Warriors at the border please remain where you are." I linked to the whole pack Once inside the pack house I proceeded to have a meeting with all pack members about how to survive this. Most understood that I was young and needed some guidance. While the fighting came naturally for me I was out of way out of my depth with the pack restoration. I sent a groupe of 20 warriors to clear the woods and bring back the members from the safe house. We had a total of 600 pack members at the beginning of this and now only 250 remain many of whom are children too young to shift or older people that have outlived their fighting days. With these numbers everybody seems to agree that this pack will not be able to function for long. "Alpha if I may, your father was very loved by the surrounding territories. Maybe we could ask for some assistance until we can stand on our own." Gamma Aaron stated stepping forward "That is a great idea Aaron. You've met more of the Alphas than I have and if I recall you're a good judge of character. Could you put together a list for me of any that would help us?" "Yes Alpha!" "Thank you very much Aaron. It is truly appreciated" At that moment a blood chilling howl erupted from outside the pack house. Everybody froze in fear except me. Only another Alpha would have this kind of power over wolves, but why is there another Alpha here? I opened the front door taking a deep breath to center myself. Katara was exhausted but we would use all our power to protect the pack. As I stepped into the midday sun I realised the pack house was surrounded by 400 pack wolves all facing me in defensive positions ready to kill. The scent of pine and honey wafted into my nose. I know this smell but from where? A tall man with blonde hair and grey eyes stepped out from the line of warriors. "Jazmine is that you?" he stated with curiosity and concern in his face. I let Katara take control allowing my claws and canines to grow out while my eyes begin glowing emerald green. "Who are you and why are you here?!" He took a step back and sat down making me wonder what his next move would be. How can he attack in that position? I made sure to keep track of all the wolves surrounding us while I size him up. He just sits there with tears brimming his eyes staring at me. He's wearing basketball shorts, a tshirt, tennis shoes, and a black and red argyle socks. That's when it hits me. "I know you" "yes dear. do you remember how?" I just nodded my head. How could I forget the first time I had mind linked my father. Katara relaxed and let me take back control making my claws and eyes return to normal. "Why are you here?" I tried to keep my voice as even as possible so to not show emotion "The Alpha is in no mood or position to speak right now. I'm sorry you men traveled so far for nothing." With that I turned and started to go back to the pack house "Alpha! Your Luna contacted me moments before her and her mate went down. Please turn around and listen to what I have to say." He shouted at me. "How could our Luna contact you during the battle, you're not part of our pack. People can only be connected to one pack." This man has me very curious now. Being near him gives me a sense of calming that only my parents could do to me but they're both gone now. "Jazmine do you know your mothers original pack name?" "yes, mother came from the BloodRock pack to our north. Why does that matter?" Now I'm slightly annoyed. We dont have time for this. "Your mothers birth name is Jones just as mine is. It's true that wolves can only be connected to one pack at a time but since we are siblings and Alpha/Luna in separate packs we are able to communicate via mindlink so long as the distance isn't too far" "so are you saying you're my uncle?" It hadn't occurred to me that I might have family somewhere "Yes dear I'm your uncle." "What was the last thing my mother linked you?!" Just because some man showed up claiming to be my uncle doesn't mean I'm going to trust or believe him "Jess told me that Coldrose was being attacked by a couple hundred rogues. They were evacuating everybody to the safe house near the lake. She said that she sent you there to oversee the survivors but then they lost the Prince and you went to find him. Your mother was so scared for you both but demanded that I bring as many warriors as possible and help save ColdRose. She told me to focus on the rogues and allow you to find the Prince." He was nearly in tears at this point. "While my warriors and I were on the way here she linked me again stating that you were at the safe house and had everything under control there. Then I felt our link snap. I felt the second she took her last breath." He broke then releasing a wretched sob from his throat. "I'm so sorry we werent fast enough Jazmine. Please forgive me for failing my family." I felt warm tears fall down my face not even realizing that I was crying. My whole pack has come outside by now and are watchin the scene unfolding infront of them. Two Alphas bawling their eyes out until they cant breath. Once we calmed down Aunt Tiff lead us inside to the living room where we could relax and talk more. By the end of our discussion none of Coldrose would submit to another Alpha and I'm too inexperienced to lead my pack yet so we decided all mothers with children would go to Bloodrock while I enroll in Alpha training. Anybody else can either join Coldrose or become rogue until I graduate from school and return. Those that choose to become rogues will be allowed to stay on ColdRose territory. They will only be considered rogues because they wont have an Alpha to follow but our pack is close and we will still be able to mindlink so I doubt there will be any problems. Most of our pack decided to go rogue and stay in the territory while a select few chose to move to Bloodrock. Alpha Xander agreed to send in help to clean up after the attack and include Coldrose into their guard post. While there wouldnt be an Alpha somebody would have to protect the pack lands so another sidnt move in to claim it.
