Alpha Training

John and I stepped onto and field finding somewhere to stand near the stage. While I'd rather be in the back where I can see everybody; me being 4'8" wouldnt allow me to see the stage from the back. Katara comes to the surface slightly to enhance our hearing and smelling. She likes to know all our surroundings when in situations like this.

Once everybody has filtered onto the field the headmaster begins his speech. "Hello young Alphas and thank you for joining my us for this training. We would like to explain a little about how things here will commence. The first week will be aptitude testing this will show us what you know and what you need to learn. the second week will be classroom work this will give you the knowledge that an Alpha should have regarding pack territory, history, and laws. From there everybody will begin to progress at their own speed, but be warned if at the end of week 2 you are not on pace with the rest of the alphas we will be sending you back to your pack and you will not be able to become an alpha." There was an audible gasp from the crowd. Clearly some aren't too sure about their abilities to learn.

"With that I will allow my mate to take over." He gave a slight bow to the beautiful blonde woman on his right as she stepped forward.

"Hello everybody! I'd like to begin with introductions. We know all of you while none of you know us. My mate and I have been together for 36 years serving our pack together. We were Alpha and Luna for almost 20 years before we agreed to step down and hand the title of Alpha over to our oldest. You may refer to us as headmaster and nothing else. Now I want every alpha to step onto the stage one at a time and introduce themselves so that everybody may know who their classmates are." She flashed a quick smile my way before directing the the first few alphas onto stage.

"Before we begin I want everybody to use their true titles. There will be no discrimination between current and future alphas, but part of the training here is being honest with yourself."

they continued on for about 5 more future alphas, then it was my turn. A few boys chuckled as I approached the stage but I refused to acknowledge them. Once on the stage Katara was fuming; I looked up from my feet and noticed every single person in the crowd was having their own conversations not even glancing towards me, this must be why she's so mad. The blatant disrespect.

I took a calming breath and we agreed to show them a fraction of our power. Katara and I have gone through training since the day we met to control our power. She always insisted that people would want us for the power we hold and that we must protect it. Katara never had to explain much since I've always trusted her.

"okay Katara only a quarter of our power. Dont show them too much."

"I understand J. Just enough for some respect" I could hear her smirking in my mind

We took a deep calming breath and slowly let our power come to the surface. I could hear the murmurs from the crowd starting to die down. Once everybody was completely silent I began to speak. "My name is Jazmine Snow and I am the current Alpha of the ColdRose pack. To anybody here I will only be referred to as Alpha J. Obviously the headmaster's may refer to me as they like." With that I bowed to the headmaster's and took my leave from the stage.

"thank you katara" I smiled to myself as I approached John who was grinning from ear to ear

"dont thank me dear that was all you. I only made sure you didnt put out too much power." I could hear the pride in Kataras voice.

John engulfed me in a bear hug as soon as I was in arms reach making me giggle like a school girl. "You did amazing J! I'm pretty sure I smelt a couple of the future alphas pee themselves when they felt ur power surge. I was trying so hard not to laugh" He whispered into my ear while lowering me back to my feet.

After a few more introductions the female headmaster continued her speech. " Okay now since everybody has met I will finish explaining the remaining courses. As my mate stated anybody that is not on track with the others after week 2 will be dismissed to their pack and never recieve the Alpha title. This is his choice of punishment therefore do not question me about it. The first 2 weeks are completely under his control while the rest of your visit is mine." She took a moment for everybody to take in what she had said.

"After week 2 the remaining alphas will come under my control for physical challanges. We will work on strengthening and endurance for proximity 2 weeks. After that there will be a special challenge that nobody can prepare you for." Her mouth twitched up slightly showing that she got the response she wanted.

I could smell the fear pouring off the other alphas as she spoke. "The special challenge will be the final step to graduating which for some means stepping up to your title while for others it means being the Alpha that your pack needs. Now everybody go relax or mingle. For the time you're hear the mansion will be your home please feel free to use the grounds and all amenities listed on the map that has been provided. I will now allow our head Omega Jamie to take over with instructions on daily needs."

A chubby woman with long brown hair approached the stage "I will make this short and sweet. While everybody has personal bathrooms in their rooms there are also public ones throughout the facility. Please respect all community areas. There are cameras everywhere so if any room is left messy the person that caused the mess will be cleaning it up and facing punishment. Everybody has a laundry shoot and bags labeled with your name in your closets. Do not send a bag down unless it is full or filthy. Now for meals. Breakfast will be served at 5am, lunch at 12pm, and dinner at 7pm. If anybody misses a meal they will not be eating until the next one, so be sure to plan wisely." With that she dismissed us to mingle until dinner time.

A couple of the younger boys came and introduced themselves to me and John; while everybody else seemed to keep their distance. They didnt try to hide their pure admiration for somebody my age having the title I have. It will be nice to have some friendly faces around me.
