Her enemy turned lover

 “Princess Cora Alpha of Adonis.”, my servant spoke as the guards lead a young woman into the ballroom.  She walked all the way towards me and gave a bow. We did our greetings and she proceeded to the dance floor, her blonde hair swaying side to side as her golden eyes searched for a partner. “She’s very proud of herself. I wonder how king Alpha deals with her.”, I remarked. We settled down at the dining table with princesses from all over the place. Princess Alpha set her glass down and glanced at me, smirking when her eyes lowered. “Princess Allele, when is your father marrying you off? Clearly you’re old enough and you’re the only one that doesn’t have marriage plans at all.”, she spoke in a honeyed voice. “Princess Cora is right, darling. We need to marry you off and I know just the perfect prince.”, my dad boomed. “Father, I will not accept someone that you have chosen for me. I will choose my own life partner.” “King Allele, i think it’s best if you get her married as soon as possible, she’s getting out of hand.” “Yes. Prince Alloy will be here tomorrow.”, he signaled to one of the guards to get the messenger,”Inform king Alloy that his son is to come meet his bride tomorrow morning.” “Father—“ “I don’t want to hear it, Everly.” I got up immediately and stormed out of the dining hall, but I didn’t miss the bitter smile on Cora’s face. Upon entering my room, Kaylee, my servant, rushed to my side. “Just get out Kaylee! I want to be left alone!” “Yes Princess.”, she rushed out. I kicked off my stilettos and made a dash for my balcony.  “Ceerī graecaelīã”, i summoned my crystals to form stairs and made my down. I walked my way to the gate and the guards let me out to go to my happy place which is a lake nearby. Reaching the lake, I summoned my crystals again, but this time to make a walkway on the water and make a sitting space right in the middle of the lake. I sat down and stared at my reflection...what was I supposed to do? My father wanted to marry me off and I doubt my mother will be of much help. No...I cannot be weak right now. I have to be strong and investigate Cora’s dodgy behavior...and to do that, I’ll have to...I’ll have to...this is so hard to say...I’ll have to...get...married to prince Carson Alloy and I will get married tomorrow afternoon. My mother walks into my room and offers to dry my hair.  “I heard your father wants to get you married to Prince Alloy of Axiom.” “Yes, father has chosen well. I would like to get married Tom afternoon if it’s possible.” “Everly, my dearest, you know very well that your father and I will do anything to make you happy. I’ll speak to your father about your wedding.” Then she left me to myself. If we go to Axiom early enough, I might be able to convince the prince to help me conduct a fake wedding. That morning, a few servants came in to help me prepare for the meeting. They prepared a rose bath for me and organized my outfit. It was a sea green sleeveless ball gown with a sweet heart neckline, paired with black pearls for my ears and necklace and topped with net black stilettos. My brunette hair was put into a messy bun and my makeup was done according to the color of my dress. My father helped me into the carriage and we started our way to Axiom, it was a beautiful kingdom really. The castle was decorated with green vines and the walls were of off white and blue windows.  My father helped me out of the carriage and we walked towards the entrance of the castle. King Alloy and his wife greeted us and asked the servants to call for their son, Prince Carson Alloy. He was handsome, he had jet black hair that looked like a beautiful messy bush on his head, pink kissable lips, and dark brown eyes that made his great physique look even better and outlined his great height.  “Prince Carson Alloy of Axiom.”, he bowed and kissed my knuckles. “Princess Everly Allele of Axisia.”, I blushed and bowed back. He took my hand and lead me into the castle. The inside was as good as the outside, all the furniture had very precise cuts and it was all either white, silver or turquoise blue. No wonder Axiom was very famous. Not to mention expensive.  We were lead into a huge conference room and we sat down around the table. Prince Carson pulled out the chair for me and served me a glass of wine before he sat across me.  “I see our children are already interested in each other. They’ve been observing each other since they saw each other. King Allele, what do you say we start discussing the wedding.”, king Alloy spoke. “I highly agree with you. We should ask the children what they want. Everly, what would you like?”, father turned to me. “King Alloy, Queen Alloy, if it’s alright, I would like a tour of the castle while you discuss the wedding with mother and father.”, I offered, I needed to get Prince Carson alone. They agreed to let us go and prince Carson lead my out of the room and into a long corridor. He showed me a few paintings and explained their meanings. I took this as the chance to tell him my plan, I might not get a chance like this again.
