Moonblood prologue
In the ancient age, long before the birth of the child blessed with moonlit blood, two great clans ruled beneath the sky—the Aurelion and the Noctaryn.
The Aurelion were composed of the White, Blue, Golden, and Grey Wolves—guardians of light, peace, and wisdom.
In contrast, the Noctaryn were the cursed children of darkness: the Black, Red, and Dark Grey Wolves—creatures consumed by greed and the thirst for power.
In the world of wolves, every color carried its own purpose and honor. The White Wolves stood as protectors of light and justice; the Grey and Silver Wolves were known for their intelligence and vigilance; the Blue Wolves possessed spiritual and mystical abilities; and the Golden Wolves excelled in bravery and leadership.
On the other side stood the Black, Red, and Dark Grey Wolves—deceitful, ruthless, and destructive.
With every generation, a prophecy emerged among the White Wolves:
"The last blood of the White Wolf shall rise beneath the moon, the most powerful among all wolfkind. He shall rule over every tribe, restore balance to a world torn apart, and be called by the name of a man—Lorenzo, a name that bears the crown of victory and courage."
As time passed, however, the White Wolves were slowly wiped out by endless wars.
Many fell, overwhelmed by the growing darkness of the Noctaryn.
Amid the chaos stood Don Lucien, leader of the White, Blue, Grey, and Golden Wolves—a living symbol of hope, though he knew a great sacrifice was yet to come.
Scene: Before the Battle
Under the pale glow of midnight, beneath a towering tree just outside the camp, Isadora stood facing Don Lucien, one hand resting protectively over her three-month-old womb.
Isadora (worried, her voice gentle):
"Lucien… you must be careful. You know the danger… and the prophecy. The last blood of the White Wolf lies in our hands."
Don Lucien (placing his hand over her belly, his gaze deep and resolute):
"You are all that matters to me. I will defend everything… including the last blood."
Isadora (holding his hand):
"Even if I am only an ordinary woman… you must protect him. No matter what happens, he will need a father to guide him—someone like you."
Don Lucien (nodding with determination):
"I promise. I will do everything to protect you and our child, the entire tribe, and the last blood. I will never abandon you."
At that moment, Aliya, five years old and Lorenzo's elder sister, approached him.
Aliya (softly):
"Father… please be careful. Mother and I will wait for your return."
Don Lucien (embracing her, smiling though his voice was firm):
"I will return, my child. But if I do not… take care of your mother and your sibling—and always do what is right."
Aling Minda, Isadora's mother and Lorenzo's grandmother, spoke anxiously:
"My son, the battle is extremely dangerous. Please be very careful."
Don Lucien (holding her shoulder respectfully):
"Thank you, Mother. But I must do this to protect everyone."
Isadora (embracing him once more):
"Be careful. I love you so much. Come back to us."
Don Lucien:
"Whatever happens… if our youngest is a boy, please name him Lorenzo, as the prophecy foretold."
Scene: Wolves' War
After a brief exchange of promises and farewells, Don Lucien marched into the forest alongside the armies of the White, Blue, Grey, and Golden Wolves. They stood united, prepared to face the Black, Red, and Dark Grey Wolves.
Every movement of the enemy reeked of malice; every strike of the allied wolves was filled with courage and discipline.
Yet in the heart of the battle, all the White Wolves fell.
The allied forces were crushed by the overwhelming power of the dark wolves.
Wounded, drenched in sweat, and gasping for breath, Don Lucien fled the battlefield, determined to preserve his legacy. With his last remaining strength, he sought out his trusted friend, Don Rafael, before life finally slipped away.
He knocked on the door, and Don Rafael opened it at once.
Don Lucien (collapsed, struggling to breathe):
"You must hide the last blood of the White Wolves. Protect and care for my wife and children, Rafael. You are the only one I trust. Manage all my wealth and estates—I leave everything to you."
Don Rafael (holding him tightly):
"Lucien, fight! I'll take you to the hospital. This can't be happening. Don't leave your family behind! Lucien!"
But Don Lucien had already lost consciousness, and soon after, he breathed his last. He had forced himself to reach his friend's home—only to deliver his final plea.
