Chapter 10

Dorian had tried several times to talk to Mikkos, but he ignored her. Finally, he threatened to lock her in the dungeon if she said another word to him. She sits across the room, rolling her eyes at him. Dorian was thinking about Mikkos and Adhir running off, then came back furious about Aphro's brother. A brother he didn't know anything about. Now she's angry because she believes Aphro is living there again. That is the last thing she wants. Mikkos went to his bedroom a little after ten. He was tired of looking at Dorian. The first thing he did was call Aphro again. This time it rang four times before going to voicemail. "So Aphro, you deleted my messages after listening to them. My love has never ignored me before. No matter how mad she was, she never refused my calls. I'm torn between my kingdom and the love of my life. Dorian is my true mate, and I should love her unconditionally. For some reason, she and I never bonded. I still haven't marked her, and I never will." He gets into bed. "I hope tomorrow will be a better day." Dorian has been waiting up for him becasue he ran off earlier, and he wouldn't answer her through their links. When he finally arrives, he walks upstairs mumbling that Rina sent him with a hard-on. And he thought for sure she was a sure thing. He looks at his mother walking toward him. "Is he dead?" She shushes him, "No, he's not. Stop blurting nonsense." Dorian looks down the hallway. "Where did you run off to?" Brandon sits on the top step. "Alaric's pack. He and I have been friends since we were kids. Since the day of the tournament, I feel as if he's always questioning or judging me. " Brondopn looks at a picture on the wall of Andromeda and points at it. "No, he couldn't have fallen for her. Those two hate each other with a passion. I'm overthinking things." Dorian's staring at Andromeda's portrait, thinking how beautiful she is, and Mikkos has always said she's the spitting image of her mother. Maybe it's time she and I meet." **** Andromeda has been tossing and turning all night. She can't stop thinking about Alaric and him coming there. Andromeda sits up, staring out the window at the stars. "Alaric, mother made some valuable points. My mate has two major flaws that I'm aware of. The first one is that you're Brandon's friend. That's a major no-no. I just don't like you. Nope, never did. She frowns, "Why do I not like him? Come to think of you have never done anything to me. Ah, it's his choice of friends. Bad judgment whe it comes to friends. The worst." Downstairs, Aprodite, Hercules, Ares, Hades, and Apollo are in the living room discussing Mikkos. Hades wants Ares to kill him, Apollo to play Mikko's funeral march, and then he'll take him to the underworld. Aprodite tells them no one will kill Mikkos without her daugther's permission. As much as he hates him, he's still her daugther's father. Ares is disappointed that he was all for killing Mikkos. "Well, the second my niece says the word to kill him, I'll be the first person in line." "You'll have to bet me there. I met him yesterday. Let's just say I'm not impressed by him." Hercules looks at Andromeda walking into the room. "More company. Last night, when I went to bed, there was my mother and Uncle Hercules. Tell me what has the God of Music, the God of War, and the God of Death here so early." Andromeda sits down, looking at Apollo, Ares, and Hades. "Three handsome uncles and a great uncle. One beautiful mother who I thought had gone home." "Taking dibs on the man who was supposed to be your father." Apollo walks over and hugs her. " Good morning." "Good morning. We know you want to deal with those bitches yourself. Fon't be upset with us. We don't like it when someone harms you." Ares kisses her forehead. Hades nods. Ares is right. We're only here to check on you. We also want to know when you're making your first move and if you need our help." Andromeda tells them in a few days, but first, there is something important she has to take care of. Alone and in private. As soon as she said that, her mother ran over to her. "Please tell me you're going to talk to that big handsome amount of yours." "Yes, mother. Can you quit choking me?" She's looking at her mother's arms that are around her neck. "Grandbabies, I want at least four grandbabies from you and your handsome Alphas." Her mother is dancing around the room. "Mother, I said, talk, not to have sex." Andromeda looks at her uncles. Who are shaking their heads, looking at Aphrodite. **** Alaric is having breakfast on the patio. He's mostly playing over his good, thinking about his mate. He's sure he's on the right track about who Andromeada may be. No, there is no way. All of them died ages ago. But it would be sweet as hell if what I thought was true. He chuckles, then stops when he notices some young women are staring at him. "What the hell are their problems he mumbles, then listens to their thoughts ."Hell no." Alaric stood up. "Get those nasty thoughts out of your head. I've never crossed the line when it comes to my members, and I'm not starting now. I have a mate. You all will meet your Luna soon. Find something to do. Take your tails to the training field. If you're old enough to lust over men, then you're old enough to learn to fight." Niam walked on the patio while Alaric was fussing at the young ladies who were trying to flirt with him."It seems they'll never learn. Maybe once you bring our Luna home, they'll stop that crap." "If they knew what Andromeda did to Giada, I beleive they would make them think twice before doing anything stupid." He chuckles, "My mate is going to be a handful. Get ready." "I'm glad she isn't my mate," Niam says, looking at Alaric walking inside the house. Alaric enters his office, talking about Andromeda throwing Giada out the window. He heard Niam laugh for a second, then it was quiet. He turns to look at Niam. "What the hell?" He says, looking at Niam, who has been frozen. "Your Beta is fine. I thought it was time you and I talked," Andromeda says as she appears in front of him. Alaric smiles ."Yes, it is time. I was planning to see you yesterday. I thought it would be better to wait until your uncle left. " "I'm glad you know he's my uncle. Yesterday, you and Spartian were at my house; you both wanted to kill him." She sits down and crosses her legs. "I know you weren't aware of the fake tournament. But you're still my worthless half-brother's friend. That is something that I have a major problem with. As you know, that worthless piece of s**t and I have never liked each other. We tolerated one another because of our father. The day of the tournament, they became my enemies. You and I have never liked each other either. I tried to think of the reason, but the only reason I came up with was that you're friends with that fool." "Brandon and I are no longer friends. Since the day I knew you were my mate. Your enemy is my enemy." That was all Alaric managed to say before Andromeda said. "I'll kill you even if you're my mate if you betray me." Alaric looks into her eyes, "Does that mean you accept me as your mate?" She slowly walked to him, staring into his handsome brown eyes. leans down until they're face-to-face. Andromeada grabs his shirt collar, pulling him closer to her, licks his bottom lip, slides her tongue inside his mouth, sucking on his tongue. Alaric lets out a soft moan. Andromeda releases his lips ."To answer your question. Maybe. We'll see." She winks at him and disappears. "Damn," Alaric says, trying to catch his breath. Niam looks at him, confused. "Weren't you over there. Why are you breathing hard? Never mind that, explain to me how you got there without me seeing you." "My mate was here. She froze you. Man, she is one amazing kisser." Alaric looks at the huge, hard imprint in his pants.
