C018 Recon Mission

I then took their tomes and duplicated them, and had their Daibo upgraded to Lai Yen's Heart that had a +1632 damage, with a +1177-1788 Cold Damage and 5 other magical spell properties. It also adds +650 to strength, dexterity and Essense and adds +25% to the constitution. I checked the tomes and what they have are mainly healing chants and spells and only a handful of shouts to actually make the enemy kneel to the ground much like what the warriors had. But their Daibo had turned to be as formidable as the Disemboweler and all they need is an 8 piece set of Epic Steel Meshed Studded Leather Armour and accessories. The only thing now is to coordinate with the Warriors, Paragons, Assassins and Berserker on the front lines.   =*= "Let's approach the area from the flanks here and move silently using the shadows and the ridges of this area here." suggested Assassin 'A'. "That's right. There's nothing to lose, we will make use of the shadows as there is no moon tonight." replied Assassin 'B'. "Alright, we move on half-crouch and use Stealth Steps intermittently with Cat Walk and Leopard Crawl. In this way we would be able to cover the ground in less than 15 minutes." explained Assassin 'C'. "Alright, its a go we move out in 30 seconds." said Assassin 'A' as he folded the map and handed it back to me. Soon, the 3 Assassins on recon duty immediately moved out after they had taken their Sephora Sword and SoulSnatcher daggers. The three Assassins moved out silently from the Camp and made use of the shadows of the trees to hide their movements as they crouched and move within it. "S T E A L T H. S T E P S" They activated their stealth steps as they had approached their target area and had walked half-crouch with steps as silent as a cat on a prowl. Only their glint of their eyes betrays they positions as the three made a triangular formation and slowly neared the demons' encampment. "O W L. E Y E S. A C T I V A T E" They deftly climbed the trees and his in the foliage as they observed the demons' encampment from a distance of 300 meters away. "T E L E P A T H Y" "I wondered how long these demons had set up their camp here. This mineshaft looked desolate and abandoned since their mineral vein had dried out for some time now." thought Assassin 'C'. "There's a lot of Imps around, at most these only emerges after dark and would normally disappear at dawn. I could make out more than 50 of these and they seem to be above ground." thought Assassin 'B' "It seems they are making their portal underneath that mine shaft and wonder what they were up to once they are on the surface." thought Assassin 'A' The three Assassins were comfortably hidden in the foliage and they seem to be invisible for the naked eye. Little did those demons realised that the movements were being tracked. "Let's go and check on the other angle. There's not much we could see from here and we need to discover what these demons were up to." thought Assassin 'A' "C A T W A L K" As soon as the command was issued, they slowly lowered themselves from the trees and slithered on the ground to observe from another angle. There was a space of open ground that they avoided and used the cover of the trees. Soon they reached another spot to recon the activities and saw that the demons were emerging from the mineshaft and carrying buckets of what seemed to be of a black mineral or something. "T E L E P A T H Y" "What do you think those demons were doing? Is that a new type of minerals, and what are they mining for and where are they carrying them to?" thought Assassin 'B'. "Let me head out a few hundred meters away and see where they are heading and to see if I could bring back a sample for our leader to investigate." thought Assassin 'C' "Be careful out there, you'd be open to full view and don't CHARLIE this mission." thought Assassin 'A' as Assassin 'C' slowly moved away and picked the shortest distance between the piles of minerals that the demons had placed and the tip of the forested area. "L E O P A R D. C R A W L" Assassin 'C' quickly crouched and then was in his stomach as he crawled like a slithering snake or like a leopard waiting to pounce on its Prey and he crawled close to the ground and it didn't look ominous even to the naked eye. The movement is slow and laborious and it was a success as Assassin 'C' had successfully retrieved a fist-sized mineral from the pile and had leopard crawled back to the foliage, remaining hidden all the time. "B L I N K" Assassin 'C' deployed the spell and moved swiftly and reached the rest of his Comrades in just a matter of seconds, moving like a sleek animal within the shadows of the foliage. "It seems that there's a Blacksmith workshop there and this mineral looks rather valuable to them. Is it Obsidian or Onyx of some kind?" thought Assassin 'C'. "The demons seemed to be milling around and only a few tents were available near the Blacksmith area, it seems they are making a sort of settlement there." thought Assassin 'B' "Let's RTC, not safe to be here too long." suggested Assassin 'A' and soon they crouched low and made use of the shadow and the moonless night to head back to Camp Salvation as they moved in a zigzag manner and at intervals, overlapping each other's position before advancing. Before long they had reached Camp and wished to meet with me to hand their findings. "Assassin 'C' reporting, Sir Robyn. We had indeed found a demons encampment in the mineshaft that had long abandoned. There are more than 50 imps armed with bows and swords littered all over the place. Demons there seems to be mining something too." the Assassin said as he placed the mineral rock on the table and I looked at it and peered. "Do you think this is a kind of Obsidian or something?" I asked and the Assassins shook their heads as none are into mineral studies. "Sir Robyn, the demons had set up a kind of Blacksmith and there are 4 circus tents, big enough to house at least 20 to 25 demons inside. A few sky dancers of red, white, luminous yellow and luminous green were placed around the demons encampment to sort of advertising their existence." Assassin 'B' said as he showed how a sky dancer looked like after it was inflated with a fan below and had two outlets near the arms and was flailing about and twirling in the spot. "Thank you for the report. You had done well. We would notify the Sheriff of Nottingham in incognito mode and we'd observe what happens next." I replied as I dismissed the Assassins. "Do you think the dwarves knew about this? Robyn, we can ask them tomorrow, right?" asked Stef as she held the mineral in her hand and even I had used to IDENTIFY, it failed to tell me what mineral this was. "Yes, let's do it tomorrow then. I would be at the patch where they normally has their breakfast and we could ask them about this mineral that those demons were intent of harvesting them and forging them too. ...... "Very intriguing indeed. A piece of Basalt that could be used mainly to forge hot weapons and there are over 25 uses of this type of mineral. Its rather rare and could only be mined from those shafts that run along the Earth's surface rather than deep underground." The dwarven chief explained to us as we slowly took notes of this type of minerals. "So it does means it could be made for present-day weapons as well as hot weapons as you mentioned?" I asked and a flash of worry clouded my mind for a moment when I heard about hot weapons. "True... True indeed..." answered the dwarven chief as he scratched on his non-existent itch under his chin. "With a long-ranged weapon and an eyeglass like this, our enemies could be shooting at us from a 1000 meter downrange and we would not be able to see anything in this way." I pondered as I held the telescope that Alleicea had bought from a travelling merchant the other. "Wait for the Sheriff to investigate on demons activity in his lands and then we see what they would do about it. We could seize that mineshaft if it's uninhabited because these demons could tear us apart in seconds." explained the dwarven chief as I twirled the fist-sized basalt mineral in my hand.   =*= "Hey, silly boy. Did you send a notification to the Sheriff of Nottingham on incognito mode on a demons findings and whereabouts in this area?" "Yes, Matilda, I did. Of course, I can't send it under my assumed name and let's see what's the response looks like." I replied as I scanned the notifications of the activity of the demons. "Here it is Boss, it says 'A reminder to the public to keep away from Spottiswood due to some unknown activities until the investigations are complete.'. That's it, just a reminder to the public and nothing else. No hints, no raids, zipppp..." "Robyn, It seems the Sheriff is also in incognito mode as well. Do you wish to send a recon to make sure no progress has been made by those demons and their development somehow had been slowed down or stop completely?" asked Stef as she held her staff upright close to her and used her chin to rest where her hands were. "Seems a good idea Stef, but if a hornets' nest had been disturbed, won't the hornets be on extra alert? How if we send a drone there and we can watch it remotely?" as I took out a palm-sized drone with 4 copters and remote control with CCTV capabilities as Matilda chuckled at my foolishness. "We let the heat simmer down a while and see if the Sheriff of Nothingness would send another notification to the public on these findings or not. Surely he would not just post a notice of warning, right?" "Here, Silly boy take a look at my draft to send to him. I just composed it for your interest." Matilda handed me a note that reads, "Gold mine discovered and hoarded by demons at Spottiswood. Raid calls for the bravest!" "Looks interesting and enticing, we'd go with that," and I took the note from Matilda and send it on a broadcast under incognito mode and soon, swarms of other notifications rang up calling for reinforcements. "Boss, rumours sure move on fast this way, surely the Sheriff of Nothingness would react faster his way." said Jean Lethal as we observed the growing interest that was sparked by the word 'Gold'. True enough, even the Sheriff of Nothingness sprang into action and a search party was called upon at 3 pm today and a lot of participants joined in. "Now we could send our recon to view and record the account and report their investigations," I said as I summoned the sergeants of the Assassins to produce a 2 man recon team to observe the 3 pm event that would take place later. "Roger that. On the double, moving out at 1445 hours, Sir Robyn." replied the sergeant of the Assassins as he arranged for two of his teammates to observe the happenings at the demons encampment 30 minutes away from Camp Salvation. Since there were 2 hours before the Assassins made their move, I excused myself as I went to the Realm of Mind to fuse the 13,158 weapons and armours into sellable items to be traded for gold in the Merchants District in York later. 2 hours in the real world is equivalent to 6 hours in the Realm of Mind and a single fusion would take up less than a minute and before long I had fused a total of 360 sets of weapons in that 2 hours of real-time hours. In fact, I would actually need about 4 days before I could complete fusing the whole 13,158 pieces of broken weapons first to become 6,579 complete ones. When I logged off and returned to the real world, the Assassins on recon mission were about to move out and I bade them Goodluck as they headed out towards the edge of the Camp before they activated their stealth mode.
