The Luna's Wreak

Heavy pants and the shuffling of feets could be heard as Hazel ran through the woods, ignoring the harsh weather as the rain poured down heavily in large torrents. She was breathing heavily as tears escaped her eyes, mixing with the rain as her vision became blurry. She just learnt of a disheartening news and she became devastated. Not knowing what to do, she just began running off to somewhere she could be alone to sort herself out. As she ran, her heart throbbed with pain and anxiety. Why was fate this cruel to her? She didn't deserve any of this that was happening to her? It wasn't her fault that she was cursed? Was she really cursed or it was just their assumption because she was yet to bring her powers to limelight. As all this questions envisioned her kind, she reminced on what took place earlier. She was with Tatiana, her only friend who didn't abandon het after learning she was cursed. Tatiana was also the sister to the Alpha of the pack. Their friendship was kept a secret to avoid stirring up trouble amongst the royal household. A guard came around and Hazel had to creep into a hiding place to avoid being seen with her. The guard informed Tatiana that she was summoned and she had to leave at once. As soon as they left, she came out of her hiding place, puffing out breath from her mouth. She always had to do this everytime and she was getting tired of it, hiding herself from the pack members because she wants to avoid humiliation. Anytime they saw her, they always reigbed several curses and abuses on her. Sometimes, they eneded up pishing her around, chasing her with huge sticks. And moreso , she hid because she didn't want to be seen with the Princess, the Alpha's sister. Thunder clapped and the cloud became dark with rain. Hazel began making her way in the dark, knowing it was time to return home. When she got home, she was about sneaking in when the arguments from her parents stopped her. She listened attentively, making sure to grasp every single word they uttered. "If the moon goddess doesn't say anything about Hazel's case, the pack elders will surely take law into their hands and deliver justice." Akash, her father said, terror and uncertainty clashing in his tone. "What could they possibly do?" Vivian, her mother asked, her voice seemed shocked and terrified. "She would either be banished or killed."Akash revealed and Vivian mouth opened agape in shock. Her father's revelation hits her so hard as she took two steps backwards. "Why does fate have to be so cruel to me??" She cried out in a loud voice, returning back to her present state as the rain kept pouring down on her in large torrents. "This pain is too much to bear!!" She screams out as she fell to the floor as a result of its slippery nature and her flesh got pricked by thorns. Blood began oozing from it but she cared less, the pain was nothing compared to how she felt in her heart. At that moment, she felt the presence of someone and she glanced around. Lo and behold! a wolf with a silver glistening fur stood under the rain, watching her from a distance and she sprang up on her feet, her heart racing madly in fear. She blinked to be sure of what she saw but as soon as her gaze returned back, it was gone, like it just disappered into thin air. She waved it off, thinking she was just hallucinating. She sobered up a little as she roamed about, drenched by the rain, searching for a soothing place to rest for the night. Returning home was the last thing on her mind, no one would even bother to look for her, no one cares about her anyways. In other words, she was an outcast. Luckily, she found a dry spot, cowered between thick bushes and shafts as she sat down, shivering more than a drenched cat. Earlier, Tatiana had informed her of the Alpha's return and she was thrilled by the news. It would be a good thing to have him back in the town but still that changes nothing. She will always be labelled as cursed! Was she really going to die? Just because she is yet to make her first shift at this age. And so, what if her powers were destined to arrive late? Well, the only thing she could pray for was the moon goddess's intervention or else that would be her end, since no one was ready to fight for her. She sobbed non stop until she eventually fell asleep. ~~~ THE FULL MOON (ALPHA'S WELCOME PARTY) The welcome party of the new alpha was held in the palace. Everyone was present to grace the occasion and to also witness the full moon. The maidens dressed gorgeously as several dances were displayed to the admiration of the guests.There were few competitions by strong wrestlers of the pack and it was thrilling to watch. Hazel sat at a corner watching the occasion, making sure to keep her distance from people. She was there, hoping the moon goddess would pronounce something on her case. A group of girls noticed her and began to taunt her but she quickly leaves the place to another corner. Just then, Alpha Killian climbs on the stage and when she looked up, their gaze met and it lingers for a while, intricating deep connections and unspoken desires with burning intensity. She looks away confused at what just took place. No! It can't be what she was thinking right?? He gave a short speech and was therefore applauded and he left the stage. The music continues afterwards. Feeling hot and seeking for fresh air, Hazel began to walk out and then she bumped into a rocky chest,her hair slapping his face softly. She almost stumbles backwards but he caught her by the waist and she let out a gasp, her breaath hitches as she stares up at him. His eyes boring holes into hers and she felt this deep connection with igniting emotions . Right there and then, she realises, "She was his mate...."
