To make the whole ‘group call’ thing easier, we’ve moved from phones to laptops. It’s hard to know who’s talking or what’s going on when you can’t see each other and since Marrok and Lowell are still here, and Julie and Isa have joined Zack in the hotel, we’ve got quite a group of people to keep track of.
“Brian said to tell you that Max is fine.” Zack steps back into view, putting his phone down, his body still tense, but a fraction easier than before he got the call. “Max doesn’t seem any worse for wear and Brian handed him the documents. At least he won’t have to go in blind tomorrow.” Zack sighs, staring at his phone a moment, thinking. “I’ll make sure to be in the room tomorrow, so I’ll know exactly what we’re up against.
