I’m all on my own in the small bedroom, the others are in the living room, going to watch this live on TV. Partially because we want to see what’s happening immediately as it’s broadcasted, make sure that they’re not going to mess with the interview, but also because if they could, they would all have been here with me and this is the next best option.
I’m sitting with my back to a white wall. We’ve put blankets over the door, trying to keep as much of the outside sounds out of this room. I’ve tinkered with our network and made it look like our connection is coming from my house back in our hometown, at the other side of the country.
I’ve done all I know to make sure that we can’t be traced back to this location. I’ve even made sure to use a brand new SIM card in a phone to work
