Whitney's life and marriage became unbearable after she caught her husband cheating on her with her high school best friend. She left him and moved to a new city to start her life all over again, vowing to make them pay for what they did to her.

Unfortunately, she discovered herself to be pregnant for her ex-husband and vowed to raise the child alone. Everything seemed to be going well until one day when her son brings home a stranger, not knowing that the stranger was his father.

The stranger now wants to be part of the little boy's life like nothing ever happened. Would her love for her son make her forgive him so easily? Or is the pain of the past so strong that she must get her revenge? How would it all turn out?

Chapter 1: Caught in the Act
Brrrriing brrrriing. Whitney's phone vibrated as it rang loudly, calling her out of her sleep. She reluctantly stretched her hand to pick the phone up, then opened her left eye just enough to see who it was but the number didn't seem registered on her phone. "Hello..." Came her sleepy voice. There was silence for a moment from the other end as no one seemed to be talking. She looked at the phone to see if the call had ended but was still on. She put the phone back to her ear again. "Uhh...uhhh...Tom you are pulling my brains off and I like it. Do...it...fasterrrrr." a lady moaned from the other end of the call. Her sleep vanished from her eyes all of a sudden. Her husband's name was Tom. And the moaning voice sounded very familiar. While she was trying to figure out what was happening, the call dropped and a text came in. She opened it to read. 'New Island Hotel, room 269....' Is her husband seeing another woman? No, no, no! He told her he was going on a business trip outside the city. She quickly grabbed the key to the car and dashed out of the house while still in her nightwear. New Island Hotel was about a 45-minute drive but she made it there in 20. Thanks to her speed. She stood in front of room 269 and felt her heart pounding heavily. Right from the door, she could hear sounds of passionate kisses and s****l whispers from the room making her angrier. She couldn't take it any longer so she abruptly opened the door and made her way inside. Whitney's eyes widened as she witnessed the heartbreaking scene before her. Tom, her husband was right there making love to Martina, her best friend from high school. She couldn't believe it was happening exactly before her eyes. The sounds she heard from outside were amplified. "Tom! Martina! How could you?" Whitney's voice came up as tears rolled down her cheeks interrupting the act. She placed her hands on her mouth trying to muffle the cries that were escaping her mouth. The two naked lovers froze, turning to see who it was. Martina was the chief bridesmaid at Whitney and Tom's wedding. She had left the country right after their wedding for a job offer she received. So, seeing her after so many years was a major shock to Whitney. "So you've been around all these years and you have the guts to be sleeping around with my husband?" What did I do to deserve this from you?" "You didn't deserve him in the first place, girl. Marrying you was the first mistake he made and I came back to correct that." Martina snapped back. "You have nothing good to offer him." She added. Whitney stood there shocked at what she was hearing from her once beloved friend. Those words sent chills down her spine. "You should leave, Whitney." Tom's voice was finally heard in the room. Whitney's mind raced back to the happy moments they shared in the past 3 years of being together - the exchange of vows at the wedding, the honeymoon in Santorini, the vacations, and every other thing. How did it all switch into what it has now become? "I should leave, Tom? What happened to us? The love, the memories....where did it all go?" "We are having an intimate moment and you're ruining the fun by disturbing our privacy. Please leave before we notify the authorities to throw you out." Martina said irritatingly. "I blame myself. I saw the signs when you suddenly started traveling more often than you used to, but I ignored them. I should have known that this is what it was all about." Whitney's voice came up amidst the pain and anger. "I promise to make you both pay for what you've done!" She said again as she hastily walked out of the room. There was no reason to remain there. "You can't do anything. Go and never come back you loser." Martina's voice tried to follow Whitney as she left. Tears didn't stop rolling down Whitney's face as she ran for her car. She felt the weight of her world crumbling on her shoulders. Still in her nightwear, she arrived home and carelessly threw the car key without looking where it went. After all, it was no longer hers. She headed for her closet to start packing her clothes. Crying all day wouldn't solve anything or make him come back to her. ****** "What are you doing here with this much luggage, Whitney? Did you get into a fight with your husband?" Amelia questioned in surprise as she opened the door, letting Whitney in. Amelia was Whitney's grandma, the only surviving family member she had left. Her father had died in a war before she was born while her mother died due to cancer even before she got married. Whitney was the only child of her parents. "It's a long story, Grandma. I'll tell you everything later. What do you have that I can eat?" Telling Amelia immediately wasn't a good idea for her. "So how long are you staying Whitney? You still haven't told me yet." Amelia questioned after dinner. "Are you chasing me away mama?" Whitney responded with a funny look on her face. She had been calling her that ever since she was a child. "You know I always like to have you around. But you never come visiting with so much luggage." Whitney knew Amelia was only just concerned. "Anyway, I'd be staying for long mama. I need some time to figure things out." "What do you mean by that?" Whitney took a deep sigh. She knew her grandma wouldn't let her be till she heard everything there was. "Okay, I'd be completely transparent with you mama, I and Tom are no longer together. I caught him cheating today with...." She didn't finish her sentence when she suddenly felt a wave of nausea fall on her. She rushed to the bathroom, barely making it there before throwing up. She quickly washed herself and went back to where Amelia was sitting. "You and your husband just got separated? You better pray and hope that thing you just did isn't pregnancy." Whitney's eyes widened. Pregnant for her ex-husband? No, it can't be. It better not be!
