Dead Era

Prologue A world once filled with voices, laughter, noises. But now it isn't that world, it is now a world filled with silence, pains and death itself in form of blood thirsting creatures who feed on flesh to stay Alive, the world is no more ours but now it theirs. The streets deserted, a car door opened and a man alighted from the car. He stretched his back as he banged the car door closed. “Common Levis we should look for where to stay before sunsets” said the other man in the car “We all know what happens after nightfall” Levis unzipped his trouser as he started to pee on a street pole, he was done peeing and zipped up his trousers back. He went to the car and opened it boot, he took a bottle of water among all bottles that were all empty. He opened his mouth to gulp down the water right down his throat when a big vibration was heard, “Bali was that you ?” he asked his friend Bali got down from the car with a baseball bat with Barb wires all over the tip “That wasn't me ” he answered as they sighted a man running quickly towards them. Levis pointed his AK 47 at the man who got to where they stood “ Start the car quickly!!!” he shouted as he jumped into the strangers auto mobile. “What is after him ?” Bali asked Levis who looked down the street as they saw figures covered in bloods leaping, running towards them. “f*****g Zombies!!!” Bali said as he ran and entered the car and Levis did the same thing. Bali tried starting the car but it didn't respond “What is wrong ?” Levis shouted. “I don't know ” Bali banged the steering with his palm in disappointment. The Zombies got to the car as the started banging the car “We are dead” the stranger shouted as a gunshot was heard. A zombie fell to the ground dead, as the sound attracted the Zombies, they left the vicinity of the Car and started to look about when another gunshot was heard and a Zombie fell to the ground. Levis looked from the mirror to see if the Zombies were still close by “What was that ?” he asked as he saw a man standing at the top of a building with a g*n “It a sniper ” he said. The sniper shot again as the bullet entered a Zombie head splashing the brains out from the backhead, he dropped his sniper rifle and threw a rope down, he got down from the building with the help of the rope. He stood on the surface ground and he brought out M25 guns as he started shooting at the Zombies, that already sighted him. He reloaded his g*n and continued firing until there was no Zombies left at that area. Levis came out of the car raising his hands up in the sky, but the sniper pointed his g*n at him “Calm down we are not Zombies ” he said dropping his AK 47 gently on the ground. Bali and the stranger came out of the car, the sniper looked at the strangers “We come in peace.... ” Bali said. The sniper ignored his speech as he held Bali and looked all over his body, he moved to the stranger then to Levis. Bali understood the reason for his action “We are not infected or bitten ” he said showing his neck outside. “Why are you here ?” the sniper asked . “I and my Friends are going to Clem City and we can't find our Map so we were passing by when all this happened ” Bali explained pointing to the dead Zombies that laid dead on the floor. The sniper turned as he watched the sun sets slowly, Bali opened his mouth in fear “oh s**t!!!” he exclaimed. A large rumbling and thousands of footsteps are heard, the sniper turned as he took to his heels, running as fast as he could go. Levis and Bali left the car behind as they both carried their bag pack and ran after the sniper, the stranger also followed. The sniper entered into a destroyed mall, jumping over the barricade placed before the entrance. He came out of the backyard, he stopped and bent to his kneels as he opened a round cover on the ground “Inside everyone ” he said to Bali and Levis with the stranger who jumped in, he looked around and also jumped into the sewer closing the cover. He climbed the ladder down into the sewer as he brought out a lighter and lit the candles placed on the walls, finally the whole room was bright. Bali looked around, as Levis watched the sniper light some other candles “How many days have you been staying under here ?” he asked as he saw weapons of all kinds placed on the walls. He lit the last candle “For 2 years ” he answered as he brought out a white sack and brought out a bottle of a wine half filled. “All alone” Bali asked “He wasn't alone ” Levis said as he kept looking at a picture of a man who looked younger than the sniper, standing beside a young girl hugging him as she smiled. “That my daughter Lara ” the sniper said as he removed his shirt and sat down on the floor “Anything you need you can take it” he said as he started to drink. The sniper saw himself in a garden shouting “Lara!!, Lara!!” he saw a figure standing far away from him in his daughters gown, he ran to his daughter “Lara where have you been?” he asked as he his daughter turned with her eyes black and blood on her jaws, she jumped on her dad trying to feed on him. Then the sniper jumped up off the ground with a fast heartbeat, he looked up and could see the sun Rays. Bali stood up as he looked at the frighted sniper who just had a nightmare “What happened ?” he asked. The sniper stood up as he used his finger on his lips “Ssshhhhhh” as he walked to pick his g*n up. Levis stood up from where he slept on the floor “What is that ?” he asked as Bali shut him up signalling to him to be quite. A big footstep was heard, the sniper climbed the ladder up as he put his neck out of the sewer as he saw a Zombie 8 feet tall walking towards the sewer, the sniper went back into the sewer and he spoke with a low tone “Pack all your things, we need to move out of here......don't make any noise” he instructed the men. The giant footstep stood over the sewer as he started to sniff the air. Bali carried his bag pack, he moved backwards as he hit a bottle which fell to the ground to the fall and it broke into pieces. Everyone opened their eyes wide “Run Now!!!!” the sniper shouted running forward. The giant Zombie broke the ground it stood on as it entered into the sewer, it roared angrily as the roar could be heard 100 radius around him,Zombies started running towards the roar. The sniper held his rifle at his back as they arrived at a tunnel “Into the sewer now!!!” the sniper shouted as he bent and crawled into the tunnel which led to a canal. The 4 men fell into the dirty water filled with junks and rubbish, they swam to a dry land. “What kind of Zombie was that ?” Levis asked exhausted after the rush “Huge and smarter than other Zombies ” he said looking at the sniper for answers The sniper didn't have any answer to the question as he just was silent, then finally the stranger spoke out “They are called Zombiesuars ” he spoke out. Levis and Bali looked at him “How did you know?” Bali asked the stranger who stood up looking at the men “I am Dr Anderson ” he introduced himself, the men kept looking for him to continue “ I was among the scientists who were working on a project called M.P, which is an experiment which was started just to help mankind, we started experimenting on animals first but it didn't respond so we knew we needed a higher life forms so we took some dead bodies, experimented on it” he said as he stood beside the water. “Wait what was the experiment goal ?” Bali asked. “A good question, we were looking for a way to make humans immortal, a brain is also like our second soul....everyday of our lives, whatever we do it saved in our brains as memories. If I transfer my brains into your head, you would think like me and act like me, it would be like you are possessed by me.” explained Dr Anderson Bali nodded as the Doc continued “The bodies didn't respond so we decided to try it on some people we took from Asylum and we tested it on them it worked so we decided to show the world Our success, I brought my daughter to the lab that day. Big and influential all came to see our success when immediately sometime went wrong”............ *10 years ago* A younger version of Dr Anderson stood at the front of some crowds as he looked at the patients who were shaking on the floor bringing out blood from their faces and eyes “What is happening ?” he asked panicking as he stood up and walked to the side door on the stage, immediately the patients stood up and roared as they jumped on the crowds feeding their flesh. People started running, Dr Anderson looked back as he saw the patients covered in blood as they fed on intestine of a fat dead man, he opened his mouth in shock. “Daddy” his 10 years old daughter called unto him as a Zombie jumped on her. “Julie!!!!” he shouted. *Present Day* He snapped out of it and he looked down as tears rolled down his face. Levis walked angrily to him as he held the doctors cloth “You bastard, it was because of you and your colleagues that caused this” he brought out a small knife and placed it on Dr Anderson throat. “You can kill me because I deserve it, we were trying to be God but we never knew we can't be like him......we killed thousands of people because of our personal desire and evil thoughts” Dr Anderson confessed out as he closed his eyes. Bali held Levis hands as Dr Anderson fell to the ground, the sniper looked “Is there a way to stop this ?” he asked the doctor who started thinking. “Yes.......we created a antidote for this” Dr Anderson said as he smoothened his cloth. “Where is the antidote now ?” “At the central Lab in California ” he said to the sniper “We need a vehicle” the sniper asked as he looked at Dr Anderson “Doctor get down now!!!!” he shouted as the looked at the tunnel which Zombies started falling out of it. “You should all go....I would slow them down ” Dr Anderson said, Levis didn't care as he ran, Bali looked at the Doc and turned and followed his friend. The sniper looked Dr Anderson “Goodluck” he nodded and ran also. “Lord forgive me” Dr Anderson said bringing out a grenade he kept with him for a long time, he removed the top ring as the whole place exploded. The sniper jumped on the road as he ran behind a car as he positioned himself on the car with his sniper, the Zombies started rushing out as he started shooting at them. Bali and Levis appeared at a junction breathing hard, they looked back to look if they were followed by the Zombies “Let's go back for the sniper ” Bali said as he was held by Levis. “We can't go back for him, he might be dead” he continued “Let's go to Clem city” Levis said as they both nodded and left. The riffle was out of bullets, he removed a small jungle knife, he jumped up as he pierced a Zombie forehead. He looked at his front seeing a Zombiesuars as it stood 10 feets away from him, it roared as it ran towards the sniper with hunger. The sniper held the little knife closer to himself as he ran to meet with the Zombiesuars “Ahhhhhh” he shouted. Bali and Levis got to a shop where automobiles were sold as they saw all kinds of cars “I go check if I could find any key” Levis said as he went into a small shop before the automobile shop. Bali was alone, he walked around and kept looking at the cars. He walked to the counter and looked down, before him was a dead body whose intestine was out on the floor “Levis ?” he heard a sound coming from a room labelled as Rest room, he walked to the door and opened it with fear. A Zombie jumped on him as they fell to the ground, he shouted holding the Zombie neck to avoid being bitten “Help!!!”. Levis saw a rack hanged on the wall as he kept on looking at the keys hanged on it, he picked one of the car keys and decided to go out then he sighted a shot g*n on the table with a little carton which was where the bullet was kept. He heard Bali screaming for help, “What ?” he quickly grabbed the shot g*n on the table and loaded the bullets keeping the key in his pocket. He ran out as he saw a Zombie on top of his friend trying to bite him with it decayed teeth. “Don't just stand there,do something ” Bali struggled to talk. Levis nodded as he loaded the guns and aimed at the head of the Zombie and he fired, blowing up the Zombie head info pieces. The blood splashed on Bali's face “f**k!!!” he shouted spitting on the floor severally. Levis removed the car key as he pressed it button and a Range rover made a noise “Get in Bali, it would soon be late” he said as he entered the car and started it, Bali jumped in and they drove the car out of the automobile shop. A Zombiesuars stood still as it fell to the ground like a rock, the sniper had blood all over his body as he was breathing tirelessly. “ Asshole” he whispered to himself standing on the dead Zombiesuars. Levis and Bali were driving as fast as lightning, they drove 100km away from the infected city. The sniper saw a bike on the floor in between two dead cars, he took the bike and started it and the engine made a loud roar still vibration the exhaust pipe “Carlifornia here I come” he said with courage as he sat on the bike and drove off. AFTER 2 DAYS ( CALIFORNIA) The sniper parked the bike before a rusted gate, he walked to the gate and kicked it opened. He entered into the garden and looked on the wall ,“This is the centre Lab ” he said to himself after seeing the picture of a cross with two snakes wrapped around it. He brought out his sniper rifle and walked stealthily avoiding anything that could attract nearby Zombies, He climbed the stairs leading to the main building and opened the glass door. *Bang Bang* the sniper pointed his rifle towards the strange sound, he followed the sound into a Lab. He saw a Zombie with a basket on his head walking continuously towards the metal cupboard. The sniper sighed in relief as he continued his search, he left the lab walking in a passage, “Delta 1 there is nothing here” a voice said from the end of the passage. The sniper saw 6 figures all hiding behind a wall, they Haven't noticed him yet . He thought. He walked stealthily fast as he pointed his rifle at the strange figures ,in surprise they were only Soldiers all dressed in black uniform “Wait....Wait we aren't zombies” a man said who looks like the commander of the team The sniper put his rifle back down and nodded at the man's sentence “We were informed by some people about an antidote here” the commander said “We have searched the entire floors in the building and we haven't seen any clue to it ”. “You didn't check where you are expected to check ” the sniper said remembering the scientists words. “What do you mean ?” Commander asked confusedly. “The toilet ”The sniper said as he ran, to the lab followed by commander and his soldiers. They entered the toilet zone, there were 10 toilet doors in the male toilet. “I check this and the rest of you check the othere” the commander commanded as the soldiers followed his order and started checking the toilets. The sniper walked to a toilet as he broke open the WC and found a silver box inside, he took the box out. And opened it, ice blocks were placed inside the box with a syringe that has a purple liquid in it “ I will take that” the commander jumped in and dragged the container from the sniper's hand. The soldiers all pointed their M25 at the sniper “Thanks for the clues dummy”, the sniper stood as he saw a metal door and he shifted slowly to the door, “Don't try to act smart ” the commander said harshly. The sniper kicked the commander on his jaw as he removed his knife and scratched the metal door as it made a loud *Screech*, the whole building echoed the sound. “What was that for ?” the commander stood up back adjusting his jaw. “You would see” then sounds of footsteps started moving in the whole building, then Zombie jumped in holding a soldier from the back and bit his neck. Commander looked at his soldier struggling to get himself free from the Zombie, finally the soldier got hold of his pistol and shot the brains of the Zombie “Ahhhhh” he stood up touching his neck. “It seems you are no longer useful cadet” commander said as he looked at the bitten soldier with full focus,the soldier took the pistol and put it into his mouth and shot himself. “Son of a b***h” Commander raised his hand and punched the sniper on his face, making him fall on the floor “Let's move” the commander instructed as they all left the weak sniper on the floor out of the toilet. Commander held his g*n as they looked down the hallway to see crowds of Zombies all walking about, he chuckled. “Time to clear the road” he pulled his M25 firing aimlessly at the Zombies. Gunshots echoed all over the whole street,the commander rushed out left with only two soldiers “We need back up ” he said over to his walkie talkie. A Zombie jumped towards a soldier biting his hand. “Ahhhhhh” he shouted as his hands were gripped hard by the Zombie, then a knife pierced the back head of the Zombie slicing down to the front forehead. The Zombie left the soldiers hand, and the head splited into two. The Soldier pushed the Zombie away from him and he saw the sniper beheading a Zombie with his little knife. *Arrrghhhh* a voice went all over the building “What was that ?” Commander asked The sniper looked down the hallway “Trust me you wouldn't want to know” he said as he ran out of the Building. Commander and his soldiers continued staring down the hallway to see what made the noise, a Zombiesuars came out from the lab holding a human head. “What is that ?” he asked again as he and his soldier started firing at the Zombiesuars walking towards them, the bullets had no effect on the Zombiesuars, the commander started walking backwards still shooting at the strange Zombie. A horn was heard, the commander looked outside to see an ambulance car waiting for them “Get it!!!” the sniper shouted as the commander ran towards the front and jumped into the ambulance van, the other soldier left the bitten soldier jumping into the back of the van. The sniper drove the van out of the garden crashing the gate down, the Zombiesuars took the injured soldier still holding his bitten arm “Go to Hel...” the Zombiesuars raised his foot up and squashed the soldier's head.
