4 The two policemen disappeared down the corridor with the body, which looked rather short, on the stretcher. Detective Keating mumbled about setting off to “Perhaps find this woman.” He went down the corridor. Ginny and Hendrik looked at each other and followed him. He seemed to ignore their presence but glanced over his shoulder at them every so often. Ginny smiled at the detective, gracious in the face of his frostiness. “We’ll follow him until he grows tired of us,” Hendrik said to her with a grin. Ginny had been isolated from the rest of the train for quite some time and wasn’t able to see what had gone on in the meantime. But it looked as though passengers were generally being respectful of the policemen’s orders to stay put. Most were staying in the cabins, but a few passengers
