Chapter 1
Belle's pov
I was getting ready to go to work. I've cooked, cleaned the house and called Aliyah's tutor to reschedule for her private mathematics lesson to next Monday. You see, Aliyah's my baby sister. Even though she's about to be 18 in just two days, I'll always love her just like a little baby.
Belle: "Aliyah, go and get ready for school. It's Friday, you don't want to be late right?" I shouted.
I quickly walked across the hall and barged in Aliyah's room. I saw her laying in bed, reading the teen magazine that had just arrived last night. I kept shouting her name but I guess she didn't hear it.
Belle: "Aliyah! Come on! You're going to be late for school again!" I said, pulling her blanket away.
Aliyah: "Oh my God! Stop being such a drama queen sis! It's not like I'm going to get detention! It's Friday, they're pretty chill about it." She said, sitting upright on bed.
Belle: "They? If you think that your school's going to let you go just because our mother's ill and our father's dead then think again! You'll still going to get detention whether you like it or not!"
Aliyah: "Ugh, I hate you so much! Do you have to mention that Dad died 2 years ago? Get out of my room!" She said, frantically throwing her pillows at me.

Aliyah kept throwing her pillows at Belle to get her out of her bedroom and then locked it. Belle, on the other side of the door, was continously banging on it to get her out of that room. They were both late for work and school. Without a word, Belle went to kiss her mum goodbye and left the house, slamming the door.
Mum's pov
I was in the living room when I heard shouting coming from the hall. The house wasn't so luxurious and big so I could hear every single word that came out from both my daughter's mouths. As I was walking to the hall, I saw Belle walking towards me and kissed my forehead. She said goodbye and stormed out of the house. I took the initiative to comfort Aliyah even though I was feeling a little light-headed. I slowly walked to Aliyah's room and stopped by the door. I placed my ear onto the door and heard sniffles.
Mum: "Baby, come out please. Belle's just tired, she didn't mean to shout at you."
Aliyah didn't answer.
Mum: "Baby, please.. You don't want to see mummy sad right?" I said, resting my head onto the door.
Aliyah's pov
After locking the door, I went on my bed and just started crying. I didn't know why or what I was feeling. I guess that I probably just love my sister and I miss us hanging out together. Gossiping, talking about our future and how we wanted to buy a house together so we could stop hearing mum nag at us. I just missed spending time with her, I miss talking to her about boys and our crushes and I definitely miss sleeping with her whenever I was scared of the dark or whenever I heard the thunder. Just as I was about sit up, I heard mum calling me, she sounded so sad and I couldn't believe that she had to witness that argument just now.

Being her mother's youngest daughter, Aliyah was always there for her mother whenever she needed help. Belle was never at home because she has to work the whole day, even on the weekends so it was up to Aliyah to take care of her mum. Aliyah quickly opened the door and hugged her mum.
Aliyah: "I'm sorry you had to hear us argue again mum! I know that Belle means well and I know that she wants me to study hard so that I could make you both proud of me. I'm really sorry mum. Do you forgive me?" I said, looking at her sadly.
Mum: "Aw baby.. You did nothing wrong okay! I love you both equally and I don't mind the arguing at all. Just promise me that you'll hurry up and go to school alright?" I said, rubbing her back.
Aliyah: "Okay mum, I love you." I said, kissing her cheek.
Mum: "I love you too baby! Now go and get ready!" I replied.
