Kate POV I dressed slowly, tightening my corset until I could barely breath, then wiggled into my skirt and shirt awkwardly. I’d been particular applying my make up, taking over an hour and finally after 4 styles, I’d decided to leave my hair tied in a high pony tail. “Ok Kate! Let’s go!” I cheered to myself buttoning up my jacket and heading for the door resume and handbag in hand. I arrived at the office at 8.50am, ten minutes to spare, and being up since 4am I fight back a yawn as I wait, a smiling woman makes her way over to me. “Good morning! How are we?” She asks, I blink before answering. “Great thank you, My name is Kate.. Jenkins, I’m hear for the..” I begin when I’m cut off. “Ahh Kate! With the couch!” the woman cheers. “Yes.” I reply awkwardly. “Well hello! Your are the first woman here, eager aren’t we?” She giggles. “I’m Megan, I spoke to you about the couch.” The woman informs, I smile more confidently now. “Oh hello Megan, It’s a pleasure to meet you in person.” I say, my heart lifts a little. “You too! Here follow me, I’ll take you to the seating area where you’ll wait until the other’s arrive or you are called in.” She continues, I follow her as she walks leisurely. “I love your outfit! It’s an unusual outfit compared to the one’s I’m used to seeing.” She says, catching me off-guard, I swallow. “Oh?” I ask, my heart picking up pace. “Yeah, I get so used to every woman that applies wearing low cut, boob exposing black tops and pencil black skirts, usually clad in skin tone lipstick…But you wow!” She exclaims with a sideways glace. “Your choice is drop dead gorgeous, the red lipstick is very seductive!” I blush as she winks in my direction. “Uhhh thanks Megan.” I manage, fluttering my eyelids in embarrassment and surprise. Megan nods, gesturing to my couch where it sits against a wall, I smile it’s comforting to have something familiar whilst I wait. “Look familiar?” She teases, I nod smiling. “Good I’ll be back soon, I’d stay and talk but I must stand by the elevator and greet the others as they arrive.” She pouts, I chuckle, waving as she leaves. I feel that slight rush of excitement as I wait.     Kate POV I’ve been waiting a little over 2 hours, I’d watched so many YouTube video’s my phone battery was dying, I’d soon found out we went in order of who applied first, and seeing as I was second last, I found out quickly I had a long wait. I was just re-applying the lipstick I’d chewed off waiting when Megan called my name. “Kate Jenkins!” I raised a hand, and she smiled gesturing me to follow her, straightening my jacket as I stood, I hurried after her. “This way miss, Mr Worth doesn’t like to wait.” She flusters, she skids to a holt. “Goodluck.” She whispers with a smile, opening the door, I stride in and flinch as it’s shut behind me.   I stand awkwardly straight, A empty chair sits in front of a wooden desk, I can see the back of a turned chair, looking around I notice another chair in the corner. My hearts skips, I quickly make my way over to it, I barely sat when the leather chair spins, the occupant frowns at the empty seat across from him. I giggle at the reaction, the mans eyes snap to where I sit in the corner. “What are you doing there?” The man asks coldly, looking a little confused as well as annoyed. “This chair looked more comfortable.” I offer nervously. “That be the truth, would you mind?” the man gestures to the chair in front of him. Reluctantly I stand heading for the chair, I stand beside it, he raises an eyebrow in challenge and I sit, folding my hands in my lap. “Well that’d be a first time in an interview I’ve been insulted ins such a way!” He grumbles, I smother a snort as his eye’s snap to mine. He sits purposely upright, eyeing me with a narrow gaze, his ice blue eye mesmerizing and his brown hair a short even length all over. He has a chiselled jaw, his eye are set under dark eyebrows and his complexion is tan despite working in this office, he is the most attractive man I’ve ever seen and I can feel myself melt a little. He frowns, clearing his throat, I return to reality, blushing a little at being caught staring. “Are you going to introduce yourself? Or waste my entire day staring?!” He snaps, an annoyed look in his eyes. “Sorry sir, I mean Mr Worth.” I blush, though he seems annoyed, I continue. “My name is Miss Kate Jenkins, I am 22, finished school 4 years ago, I live in Green’s park..” As I speak I’m cut off. “That’s all great, but do you know what you’re applying for?” Says Mr Worth, his ice blue eyes burning into me as he speaks, a wicked grins spreads across his face. I frown, thinking for a minute; finally I blush and shake my head. Mr Worth’s seem to spark at this, a his jaw clenching as he moves to speak again. “Do you know what sort of job you’ll be signing up for?” He presses, I blush deeper. “Answering phone calls and making appointments?” I say a little unsure. Mr Worth shakes his head, a chuckle bubbling from his throat. “More then that, I need a 24hr assistant, yes make appointments and answer phone calls, but I also need someone to run errands when I have company, for wine or condoms…” He says, I blush in response to his attention. “To book flights, pick me up from functions and spend time with me when I’m…lonely.. ”He says, though his eyes flash mysteriously, I look away for a moment to breath. “Umm I can do that.” I say in a voice more confident then I feel. “My assistant need’s to be sexy, confident and focus..” He adds, I know I’m focused; I can be confident, but sexy? f**k it! I could try. I nod. “I can be, I assure you.” I say nodding, earning a smirk from Mr Worth. “If you say so…” he drawls, I don’t break eye contact this time. He huffs, looking down at the resume on his desk, the loss of his gaze leaves me cold.. I frown in confusion, what was this feeling? Disappointment? I shake my head, as he waves a hand. “Thank you, you can go now.” He says coldly, all joking gone. I nod confused, standing from my seat I bow awkwardly and turn to leave, my new heels clicking on the office tiles as I go. I’m about to close the door when his voice stops me. “My names Jack by the way.” He says without looking up. “Thank you for your time.. Jack.” I say politely before lowering my eyes to the floor and closing the door behind me.
