I toned out. I had no need to hear his lies any longer. The old Bell would have marched into that room and told the truth, but with all the lies I have heard people tell I no longer have any care. I knocked on Amber's door and when I heard a muffled enter I walked inside.  Amber was always a gentle person in my mind. I had never seen her yell or cry. She always seemed so composed and calm. This was a side I never saw or wanted to see or Amber. Her makeup was running and both twins were screaming their heads off. She was pacing back and forth rocking them and trying to hush them both, but they only screamed louder. "Bell please help me" she cried desperately to me. I nodded and took one of the girls from her.
