As the captain's voice crackles through the cabin, asking everyone to fasten our seat belts in preparation for landing, we all begin to stir from our relaxed states.
Sebastian stretches with a groan. “Alright, folks, beach paradise is officially within reach. Time to shake off the flight legs.”
Rachel buckles herself in with a grin. “I hope the weather’s as perfect as promised. I could use a good tan.”
I glance out the window as the coastline comes into view, the turquoise waves glittering in the sunlight. I feel a mix of anticipation and nervousness bubbling in my chest. Next to me, Liam gives me a reassuring nudge.
