I wake up feeling unusually refreshed, my body sinking into the comfort of the bed as I stretch lazily. Sleep had come so easily last night, a rarity that I can only attribute to the exhaustion from snorkeling. It was more tiring than I’d realized, but it had been worth every moment.
Turning my head, I glance at the other side of the bed, finding it empty. Liam had already gotten up. I reach for my phone on the nightstand and check the time 7:00 AM.
Deciding to check in with work, I quickly type out a message to Aria, asking if everything is under control. Her reply comes almost instantly, reassuring me that things are running smoothly. I sent a quick thank-you before setting my phone down and getting out of bed.
