Airington
At 14 years old Allison Cooper was ripped away from her fast paced city life to fulfill her fathers dreams as an architect to find the most dilapidated structure and turn it into a work of art. He definitely challenged himself when he found the old brothel that was now no more than 50 years of ivy and various growth consuming boards and pillars of what on was a large lavish structure placed perfectly next to a beautiful river.In its time of glory the place was marvelous it was filled with elegance and various gifts stowed upon Miss Suzette the Madam of The Winchester. The place had history but for some reason Miss Suzette and all of the girls left in the middle of the night to never be heard from again. It was Airingtons biggest mystery that could never be solved. The place was left as it was to never be touched for 50 years. Something Mr. Cooper hadnt anticipated on his arrival were the town folk; they werent happy about having a man from the city trying bring modernism to their antiquated town. He won most of the town folk over by compromising what kind of work he would do to the place. Promising not to try and bring larger corporations to Airington which only had a diner called mommas, a gas station and a grocery store all which were ran by the Windor family they were like the top of the hierarchy followed by the Mortons who were Ranchers and the Bakers who farmed the land. Everyone else fell under them working at the shops, and on the farms.
While Ted and Rene Cooper found their place in the town and settled in to their new surroundings Allison had a harder time. Allison wasnt a popular girl even in the city she found comfort in reading and spent most of her time to herself. She had a few friends and most everyone else had left her alone. Airington was different, at first everyone gawked at her and whispered about her city clothes and style. Airington was a tight knit community and not many new people came to Airington High School. Allison was used to being ignored and preferred it that way. Matthew had sought her out the first week and was her saving grace, he had come to Airington just two months before Allison and was shunned mainly because he was undeniably gay and was more than proud about it. Matthew didnt care about the others or what they had to say it almost seemed he liked the confrontation it gave him the attention he needed.He took Allison in like a sister they were each others only friends and shared a lot of common interests. They both knew as soon as they graduated they were heading right back to the city and made plans to go to the same college and to live together. Little did they both know not many people who came to Airington never left, and they would soon find out why.
