RECLAIMING HIS EX WIFE

  Alexia sat, rubbing her hands anxiously. Her legs were trembling, same as her lips. She just couldn't wait anymore. In as much as a part of her was excited, she was still damn scared. She didn't want it to be true.   The door swung open and she immediately sprang up on her feet. A female doctor walked in with smiles.   "Doctor, how's it? Do I have any cause to worry?" Alexia asked anxiously, her heart thudding loudly against her chest.   The doctor then gave her the document.   "You can check for yourself, Miss Corper.."   Alexia took it with trembling hands and then she opened it. She breathed out and then her eyes went straight down there and there it was 'POSITIVE '   At that moment Alexia felt her heart stop beating. It was real! So damn real!   "Congrats Miss Corper, you are pregnant.." The doctor beamed with smiles but Alexia didn't even know when a tear dropped from her right eye.   "I'm sure your boyfriend would be happy to see this right?"    Alexia immediately grabbed her bag ignoring the doctor's words and rushed out of the room.   As soon as she came out, her knees became weak ,she fell to the ground causing a thud.   "It was just a mistake. It was just one night ad we were both drunk. Why now? Just why? When she wanted to change her life for the better. This came. Why?!" Alexia thought almost at the verge of tears but she controlled herself.   It was then that her driver who had been waiting for her saw her. He immediately ran to her and helped her up.   "Ma'am, are you okay?" He asked and she nodded weakly and they both walked out.   As soon as she got into the car, different thoughts clouded her mind and then she brought out her phone. Then she logged into her f*******: account. FANS ARE SPECULATING THAT THEY ARE BOTH IN A RELATIONSHIP SINCE THEY ARE BOTH SINGLE.   Alexia smiled slyly and then immediately tossed her phone away. Well, She wasn't surprised. She's been used to it anyways since Duncan never wanted to make their relationship public.   "Just like always he's going to keep quiet.." Alexia with a sad smile.   They were so madly in love back then. They met five years ago when Duncan wasn't so popular and rich. He was just a secretary for one of the popular CEO'S in the country. Duncan was just a simple guy who just wanted to provide for his family and give them a comfortable life. It was at that time they met. She just graduated from college and was a job seeker. They became friends and they talked about their and on how to actualise them. Along the line, they fell in love and they became a couple.   Duncan dotted on Alexia, she was his world and everything to him. He never joked with her. Things started moving smoothly a bit and then he proposed, Alexia accepted and they got married in the simplest way ever.   After their marriage, Duncan suddenly blew up, he became recognised and tasted bagging deals with different companies. He became very wealthy and well known. He set up for a high class restaurant for his loving wife who had always wanted to be a chef. But then it was at that time, the nightmare began in their relationship. Duncan began to come home late, most times he wouldn't be at home for weeks all because of business conferences and meetings. Slowly and gradually, the couples that were madly in love with each other drifted apart.   Worse of it all was that Duncan never revealed his relationship status to the world. The world still assumed he was still single. Different rumours of him and different ladies being in a relationship stared popping up and yet he wouldn't say a thing.   It's been four years of their marriage and it clearly wasn't heading anywhere and Alexia was already to determined divorce him. But then, something happened one very night. Duncan and Alexia had attended a close friend birthday party. At the long run, they ended up drunk and they had s*x that very night. And now she ended up getting pregnant. But then there's no way she's going to allow this to weigh her down. She wanted to be free from the loveless and caged marriage that she was in.    Alexia sighed again and took her phone. She immediately placed a call to someone and the psrson answered it immediately.   "Yes ma'am.." The masculine voice said.   "Michael, prepare the divorce papers and send them to me.." Alexia said with no expression on her face.   "Okay ma'am.."He said and Alexia hung up and took her hand to her stomach.   "I'm going to get a divorce from Duncan no matter what and as for this baby, I'll take of it myself.." She said caressing her stomach.   WINTHROP'S GROUP OF COMPANIES.   Duncan sat in his well polished office operating on his laptop and just then his manager walked in.   Immediately the manager walked in, Duncan sprang up from his seat.   "Dan, what's with the news I'm hearing?" He asked harshly.   Dan chuckled and sat on the sofa.   "Come on Duncan, Don't tell me you aren't used to this already. It's basically media play.. " Dan said.   "I don't give a f**k about media play, do you know the effect of this on my relationship. Alexia's getting tired of this and I have to put an end to this. I can't risk losing my wife because of this nonsense!' Duncan yelled.   Dan sighed.   "I think you should prepare a press conference. I've done enough of this. It's time to reveal that I'm married already.." Duncan said, his breathing erratic.   "And you know what happened next after that. Are you ready to pull Alexia in this mess? You won't be able to protect her from the mess and you know that.." Dan said and Duncan sighed. He fell back on the swivel and ran his hands into his hair.   He picked up his phone and then dailed Alexia's number but she didn't answer it. Sighing again, he took his jacket and stood up.   "Where are you going? You still have another meeting to attend in Japan?" Dan said surprised.   "Cancel the meeting. I have to see my wife this instant.." Duncan said and walked away.   "This s**t is crazy..." Dan said and walked out after him.   WINTHROP MANSION.   Alexia was in the kitchen making lunch. She couldn't starve herself at this moment. Her baby needs her and she's never going to act weak.   Her eyes drifted to the large brown envelope on the counter. She walked there and took it.    She opened it and then brought out the document in it and then a tear dropped out of her eyes.   "DIVORCE PAPERS" were boldly on it.    Alexia turned of the gas and walked into their bedroom. She took a pen and then stared at the document in her hands. After hesitating for a while, she finally signed it.   It was then she heard a loud scoff and she rolled her eyes.   "Perfect time for him to be back.." Alexia said and sat down on the bed. Just then she remembered the pregnancy documents and then smirked.   "He would never know I'm going to have a baby for him.." She told herself and then she took the papers and ripped it off into tiny shreds, then thrashed it away in the waste bin.   Just then the door opened and footsteps were heard. Alexia clenched her fists trying to keep her cool. Then Duncan entered looking handsome as usual in the black suit he wore.   He smiled when he saw her but then she ignored it.   "Heartbeat, how are you?" He asked and walked to her. Then he tried to kiss her but she took her face away and then stood up.   "Duncan.." Alexia called calmly.   "I don't think this relationship is going to work out anymore. It's obvious that we are not in love any.."   Duncan immediately grabbed her shoulders.   "What are you saying heartbeat? I love you and you know that!" Duncan assured her but she wasn't ready to listen. She was not going to fall for his tricks this time.   Alexia yanked his hands off her shoulders with a sly smile.   "You love me?" She chuckled sardonically.   "I can't feel it anymore Duncan! I can't! It's been four years! Four good years! We had dreams and plans Duncan! But you trashed them for wealth! We are married but it doesn't seem like it! You don't even stay at home regularly! It's always one meeting or conference to the other! You've changed completely Duncan! This isn't the Duncan I married, the one who was madly in love with me!" She yelled and hot tears streamed down her eyes.   Duncan sighed. This is what he was afraid of and it's happening.   "Hearbeat, it's not that way. I work to have a better life for us and our future family.." Duncan explained and Alexia chuckled again and wiped off her tears.   "Oh really! Then I wish you never got rich! I mean you are even ashamed to reveal to the world that you are married to me and you call that love?" Alexia asked.   "We don't even behave like normal couples so why should we keep this going?" Alexia added.   "A.."   "Listen well Duncan, I'm done with this relationship. I can't go on with this. It's over!" She said with a cold look and then threw the divorce papers at him.   Duncan caught it.   "What's this?" He asked with a confused expression.   "Let's get a divorce Duncan!' Alexa dropped the bomb shocking the hell out of Duncan whose eyes widened immediately.
