CHAPTER 16
Stone held Lex and Solo tightly in his arms. He was just as devastated as his mates when the box opened and revealed Talpa’s heads floating in the glass encasement. Then he heard what Pit just said. Feel within his soul. Gasping, Stone jumped up and looked around. Seeing the curtain rod, Stone grabbed it and was pleased to find it to be solid metal. Going to the glass encasement, Stone used his vampire strength, slamming down on the glass as hard as he could.
“What the f**k are you doing?” Solo gasped.
“Stop!” Lex rasped at the same time.
The glass started to crack and Stone slammed the rod down again and again, panting, “It’s…
not… him!”
Lex ripped the note off the glass, standing and shaking it in front of Stone, “He even left the note, Stone.”
