Meet

She stood in the middle with her arms crossed, they all circled her leaving no room to escape all she wanted was to finish her breakfast but not. Here they stood in front of her class going through the plan.

“Now what did we say Payton? We walk in we introduce you and you say?” Amber asked her for the fourth time hoping she would finally respond.

Payton sighed trying to free herself she shoved Ralph but the boy didn’t budge. She looked at him lazily, “I got to go.” she tried again but this time with Dixie.

Amber gripped both her arms forcing her to face her, “No, say hie I’m Payton Kent.” Payton pouted at them maybe they would feel sympathetic and let her go.

Ralph fake gagged at her attempt to free herself. “If you mess this up, we’re going to kill you Payton.” he warned her not even flinching.

“Guys this is immature. I’ve only been here three days and you’re sending me to my death. Could I at least have finished my breakfast.” she tried to reason with them, looking at each one of their faces all of them seemed dead serious, it almost scared her.

“So what, the girl needs a hero.” Keelin spoke pointing to the classroom door, definitely referring to Zelda who was inside.

Payton crossed her arms again, “If she did, she would have done it a long time ago.” she snorted.

“Just befriend her then you know, karate kick her off her feet.” Dahlia gave Payton a wide smile as everyone giggled at her chose of words.

A memory popped into her head she began feeling worried, she looked at her friends with a confused face. “You said her boyfriend is a warlock. What if he spells me?” everyone laughed like a mad person, she was the only one fearing the Cade dude indeed.

“Violence isn’t tolerated at Amidst.” Dahlia pointed out which was not helpful at all, even if it wasn’t allowed it didn’t mean students wouldn’t do it, a students mind is a complicated place.

“But if he does, he’ll get expelled and you’ll be left alone with Zelda.” Ralph beamed in excitement having the day dream instead of Payton.

Payton frown, “Or hurt!” then she gasped loudly and dramatically, pulling her arm over her chest once more. “Ever worse, dead!”

Dahlia poked her roommate getting a jerk she laughed. “Drama queen over here. We four will leave now, inform us after.” she gestured at Keelin, Jaan and Ralph. The circle began disbanding Payton almost able to escape untill she felt an arm on her shoulder.

Dixie looked at the four waking away, “We surely will!” she shouted. Hooking her arm with Payton she looked at amber then Payton. She exhaled then spoke, “Come on, let’s act!” she opened the classroom door.

Their class was completely empty expect for the red head Payton drooled over. Amber and Dixie grinned at eachother as Payton stared at the girl being mesmerized once more.

Amber stood on her tip toes, “If you screw up you should remember you have a werewolf that will rip you apart to the bone. A vampire that will drain you dry, an angel that will drop you 10,000 feet from the sky. And a merman that will drown you while I and her cruse your entire blood line.” a cold shiver ran down her spine as she swallowed hard the lamp in her throat.

As though it couldn’t get worse Amber tapped her right shoulder, “Our girl here will sense it all and will not warn you.” she referred to Dixie.

Payton looked at both the girls in total fear. Dixie noticed she smirked in success, “Remember that okay. Now let’s go!” she squealed as low as she could not wanting attention from Zelda.

The three walking up to Zelda’s desk that was at the back of the class both holding onto both Payton’s arm.

Zelda looked up with a friendly smile when she saw them approaching. Amber and Dixie returned the smile nudging Payton in the ribs a bit, she smiled too.

“Hey Zelda, how are you?” Amber spoke cheerfully with her bright smile, as though minutes ago she didn’t throw a death threat. Payton was terrified as to how fast the girls could change their moods.

“I’m fine and you guys?” Zelda asked looking at all of them. Dixie nudged Payton as to giving her a queue to speak.

“We’re fine thank you.” Payton gave Zelda a light smile, Zelda stared at Payton a little to longer than usual trying to see if she had ever seen her before.

Amber and Dixie held back their mischievous grins, “How rude of us. Zelda this is our new found friend Payton.” Amber introduced the two.

“She’s a hybrid.” Zelda asked referring to her shirt.

Dixie gave a a firm nod, “Angel and vampire!” Zelda’s eyes grimmed in awe like how everyone else did. She held out her hand to Payton, “Wow. Nice to meet you.”

Once Payton felt her hand in hers her heart danced, “It’s a pleasure too.” there hands never left eachother both of them for different reasons.

Amber cleared her throat and the two let go of eachother. “I bet you have questions, ask her she won’t mind. Right Payton?” she looked at her with a half glare.

Payton shook her head, “Not at all.” in fact she would love it so much now. Zelda gave her a hopeful smile gesturing for her to seat besides her she spoke, “Take a seat.” both the girls shoved Payton forward.

Once she sat Dixie went over to Amber and whispered something neither the other two girls could get. With on arm around Dixie Amber spoke, “We’ll be back, drown her with questions.” she emphasize on the drown word that caused Payton to swallowed roughly.

Though her eyes where screaming don’t leave me her heart was rejoicing at the thought.

The two girls rushed out of the room hand in hand. When the door Zelda looked over to Payton, “They are a pretty scary duo.”

Payton shrugged at the memory of earlier she didn’t have to be told twice of the likes of them. “Tell me about. So you have any particular questions we’ve got a lot of time.” she changed the subject.

Zelda looked at Payton excitement, she trailed her hands in the air. “Just curious as to how.” she pointed at her.

“Well as you know man woman click. Nine months baby.” she did the explaining with her hands presenting herself like a gift. Zelda’s sweet laugh filled the room all Payton did was listen with a happy heart.

Zelda punched Payton’s arm a bit, all that ran in her mind was she touched me. “Not that, we all know how it works. I meant how did a vampire and angel fall in love.” she rephrased the question.

Payton knew exactly what she meant at first she was just being playful. She leaned back on the seat staring at the ceiling, “That’s actually a question for my parents.” her parents favourite quote came in mind, she looked at Zelda’s emerald eyes. “But they would always answer you this. Love sees no form, we’re more likely to fall in love with people we would never think of.” their eyes never left eachother.

Their little moment was short lively when the door swung open, she drifted her eyes to the door a mischievous smirk overtook her lips. Payton in curiosity turned to see who made her smirk so much.

A tall guy with dark black hair stood by the door his blue eyes looking at Payton with fury, Payton returned the look.

“Baby I missed you so much!” Zelda ran into his arms pecking his lips a bit, he held her to his side placing a much deeper kiss, one just to taunt Payton. When their lips parted he spoke, “Me too. Who is your friend?”

Zelda almost forgot she was with someone else, “Oh she’s Amber and Dixie’s friends, I was just asking her questions. She’s half angel and vampire.” the last bit she spoke with enthusiasm.

He eyed at Payton with curiosity, “Interesting. Are you like your friends?” he found himself asking and Payton knew exactly what he meant.

She walked up to them with a bright smile she answered, “I most certainly am. Payton Kent.”

“Whatever...” he ignored her hand respectfully she just lowered it not wanting to cause a scene. She looked at Zelda with a faint smile, “See you around Zelda.” she spoke glaring at Cade Payton began walking away he returned the glare, he then cupped her face forcefully brought his lips on his girlfriend’s.

Payton slammed the door then stormed off to her class, “That guy really needs to fall.” she hissed curling her hands into fists.
